Works as intended - some additional considerations apply

These adapters are fully functional. I mostly use them when I use my computer in the field. Note that there is no grounding plug (this is not a problem for most modern electronics). I use a grounding adapter in my "home base" for two reasons: it's nice to have the ability to ground, and the extra prong makes the adapter more stable in a wall outlet. I carry a 3 foot extension cord with 3-6 outlets to plug in various electronics when setting up my "power center".

Don't be skeptical about the Ceptics Plug Adapter.

These cheap knick-knacks work great. I was in Australia for a while. It turns out that Australia is a large continent that isn't part of Boston and operates in a different universe where electronics are connected to weird looking holes in the wall. I could charge my cell phone. With a fully charged phone I was able to photograph funny holes in the wall, kangaroos, upside down hamburgers and all the other oddities that are below. I didn't receive all 6 forks in my "6 pack " and the one I received won't accept forks!

I bought this based on previous good reviews. My "6 pack" converters arrived today as a single plug converter (so 5 failed). Aside from that insult, it doesn't even work as intended. I have tried a 2 pin US plug (Asus power adapter) and a 2 pin EU plug (OralB electric toothbrush charger) and neither worked. Both are from world famous brands with high quality connectors. The cutouts in the converter's plastic bezel suggest they should fit, but the cutouts are too small and won't fit in either…

These adapters work very well. They connect a US/Canada plug.

These adapters work very well. You plug a US/Canada plug into one end and the other end into an Australian outlet. It's pretty obvious which end goes where. It stays pretty safe with your gear in the US. It just won't show up. I've used them in Australia but they will probably work elsewhere. With all the devices you carry around these days - phones, cameras, laptops, Kindles - it's nice to have a range of reasonably priced adapters so all of your devices can be charged as needed.
