Very nice controller

Well assembled and works great. Very fine tension adjustment. That's a bit overkill for my application; I use it to draw 5V at 300mA and it generates no heat at all. The green status LED is blindingly bright.

Worth the extra cost

Nicely designed circuit board with mounting holes. The entire back of the board is connected to the LM2596 for heat dissipation. They also use well-known branded components. If you need money but don't want to risk going cheap, this is for you.

Jack not. Best in Power Converters

I must have had some faulty units as they weren't working properly. The input voltage, as seen in the photos, was 5V at 1A. Turning the potentiometer back a few turns gave a zero result. The voltage stayed at 4.5V. These are returning.

An impressive start. good for power accessories

Laboratory test results upon receipt: Voltage regulation performed within switching regulation. At 5V my oscilloscope didn't detect any ripple (<1mV). This is the first consumer module I have purchased in the last 5 years that has been carefully assembled.

Reliable product for power converter

I needed a small 8V to 5V step-down converter up to 2.5A as I am building a small robot and need to power a Raspberry Pi and accessories. I wanted something strong and well adjusted that would attach securely and this product is exactly that. This is my second converter and I may need more.

Low RF Noise on Power Supply Accessory

Used in clocks with a 5, 10 and 15 MHz receiver for WWV acquisition. I've tested several buck converters and this one is the quietest at these frequencies without the need for shielding. It's a bit noisy at 5MHz but still better than others I've tried. Very well built. Worked so well I bought another one. Worth the price.

Excellent Adjustable Voltage Regulator

I installed a solar power plant in my locked cabin. When using flooded cell lead-acid batteries in my battery bank, it is important to know if their voltage drops below 60% State of Charge (SOC) to prolong battery life. They rarely go below 80%. To be active I installed a voltage monitor with built in alarm. However, the monitor is not calibrated and displayed a value of 0.3 volts that is too high. Luckily it has a calibration procedure that requires noting two voltage settings for 12 and 24…

Simple high quality adjustable voltage

Very well made product. If you need a constant preset DC voltage for your manufacturer applications, this will work. Minimal tension drift and not too temperamental adjusting screw. Several turns are required to set the output voltage levels. The design of the circuit board and the assembly of the components are of a high standard. It has very detailed touches such as the board vias are ground and the input and output voltage ranges are screen printed on the bottom. Potentiometer direction…
