You can have that morning coffee easier. For best results, use with glass or ceramic containers only. HIGH QUALITY: Heater coil is made from high-quality stainless steel SUS304. Electric immersion heater has simple design and very compact, making it widely distributed.

Not a spike, good for rough plumbing

Known to some of us as a spike, for those who know it its NOT worth it. It's nicely packaged in a special carry case, but upon closer inspection the seams aren't sealed. Money down the drain, one month wasn't enough.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Only available in white

Fits quickly and easily on water heater

Heats baby water in seconds or boils water in a cup in 2 minutes (220 V). It is recommended to boil a full cup of water when the entire heater is in the water. Great product, will buy another pair. Attention, you take it in checked baggage and not in hand baggage! Update: It just died, maybe after 30 uses :(

Travel Friendly Water Heater and Parts

I've used quite a few of these over the years. They are very travel friendly as all you need is a heat proof mug and hot water! The only difference between this one and others I've had is that it's a bit longer (longer than the photo they posted). It works if I put it diagonally in a medium sized coffee mug, but I think it might be too big for a small metal camping mug. Just something to know. But it works great!

  • Decent Performance

In the trash best in water heaters and parts

Bought 2 of these to make tea on a trip. The double voltage allows us to connect it to 120 volt sockets to obtain 300 watts of heating power or to 240 volt sockets to obtain 1200 watts of heating power. As with other devices, it always works great, but the test is always its durability. We took a device for a trip to Europe, where the voltage is 240 volts. We used the included adapter for European sockets. The water heater stopped working a few days into our trip so we're now tossing it in the…

Super Portable Small Water Heater

I have just returned from a trip to Iceland where I used this heater to make tea and freeze dried camp meals. It heats water in a small thermos to boiling point in about a minute - pretty impressive. It's also very lightly packaged. I keep it in the aforementioned thermos. Pros: Inexpensive, small, efficient. Cons: It looks a bit cheap and I'm not sure how long it will last. Like all of these heaters, they are dangerous. Don't even think about leaving the water and letting it evaporate…

  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Works well but needs improvement

This appliance heats 24 ounces of cold water to a boil in about 5 minutes. As instructed in the instructions, never connect it to the mains until it is immersed in water at least halfway down the straight part of the coils. Also, leave the coil submerged for about 30 seconds after unplugging. If you don't you run the risk of burning out this coil which has no internal switch. I noticed that the black plastic case behind the coil isn't completely sealed, so I used some epoxy to make sure water…

Slightly longer than most units

Standard immersion heaters sold in the US are 4 1/2" tall but this unit is 6 1/2" tall. So if you put it in the standard 12 oz size. Mug for heating 8 oz. water, it's a bit too long to attach to the side of the cup and so the bottom of the device rests on the bottom of the cup. This device took six minutes to deposit 8 ounces. Bringing tap water to a boil, standard units sold here in the US (also 300 watts) only takes 4 1/2 minutes to do the same. The coil element on this unit is 3/16" in…

Excellent Europe/International Travel Water Heater/Boiler.

This heater is fast and works well with 220V abroad, I have used it in several European countries. Of course, immerse it in water before turning it on, otherwise it will overheat and you are likely to burn yourself. It is very easy to fix in a teapot, pot or jar. You may need to fill it up completely and drain unneeded water. Otherwise it will not be shipped properly. It took 4-5 minutes for my 1 liter kettle to come to a boil. In an aluminum or stainless steel thermos, this will take more than
