Tip was duller than expected

Tip was duller than expected. A few minutes on the grinder improved the result. Worked slowly to avoid overheating and affecting hardness. Overall I like the size and weight. Not used yet.

The punch was sold without the tip

I bought this punch because the picture clearly shows that it is a pointed punch. I ordered two of these and both came with a 1/4 round (flat) head. I've sharpened both and they work fine but I don't understand why they advertise one and sell the other.

Looks like quality steel

I just got these three of these because I have them in different tool kits in different locations. Haven't used them yet, so maybe too early to judge. They appear to be good quality alloy steel for this purpose BUT as others have mentioned there is no final grinding or sharpening. Of the three I have, only one has a really straight cutting surface with a real point. The other two have a slightly rounded finish and the tip isn't what I expected to get a nice sharp cut.
