To return. Mine may have been a return

Returned. Mine was maybe a throwback. Barely built vacuum and requires the air compressor to run for a long time. Works with a venturi tube.

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • Not sure

. System on my truck that had compressor failure. Worked well

Used this for an AC vacuum system on my truck that had a compressor failure. It worked fine, but I made sure to heat up the engine bay as it only drew 28 inches of vacuum.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works better (because faster) than electric.

This thing really works! WORKS PERFECTLY! It is best to compare the electric pump 1/4 times. Two thumbs up! Make sure you have a 75 PSI (or better) COMPRESSOR or you're wasting your time!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Worked. but questionable quality.

Case was cracked when received. It is clear that this was a factory error and not a delivery issue. This raises some concerns about source code quality control. However, it worked as it should. I'm just worried about how well it will hold up. I suppose if the innards are held together I can always tape the case off! For the money, this is a cheap way to vacuum the air conditioner. So if you're like me and only want to do this once per blue moon (at best), this is the way to go without rentingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Good but not great

Poorly made best air conditioning tool and gear

I bought this item and only used it 3 times before the stem popped out with hose fittings to connect to gauges. I disassembled the device and found that the filaments had been torn from the shaft and pulled out of the block, which I assumed was some sort of aluminum alloy or something. I was able to cut deeper into the block, cut the bar, and cut again. Then he pulled out the fitting to which the air hose is connected. I couldn't get this piece any deeper because of the venturi so I had to weld

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Something different

Great item for occasional moderate vacuuming needs.

This is a great product if you have reasonable expectations of its performance. If you want a device that can generate 29+ inches of mercury vacuum, spend a lot more money and get a real electric pump. If you do want to fix your air conditioner from time to time, this is a great alternative to spending big bucks on a pump that you use once or twice a year. Let's say the specified spec is 4.2 cu. ft/min is probably correct. I have a compressor that outputs 5.7cfm at 90psi and have had no issuesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • clarity

This thing is a complete mess! As for the tool, there is NOTHING good to say about it. My kids' plastic toys are more durable, in fact most single-use plastic containers will give them bang for their buck. The only reason I gave it a "star" is because there are no zero or minus "stars". I pulled the air hose (NOT over-tightening) from the compressor to the brass fitting on the back, then the wrench came loose. The item being lifted and all the metal fittings on the front and back (two of them)โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
