Find something better

I had this hockey puck for 3 months. I used it once for testing purposes. The remaining 3 months he was in the center console of my car. Today it was necessary, but it didn't work out. Have contacted the company. They told me to replace the batteries as they were probably dead. The?! Batteries have been sitting there"probably sitting down" for three months? Unfortunately that wasn't the problem. Now it's a paperweight. Don't waste your money and definitely don't count it towards saving your…

Original new generation road pin

Like most people, I bought it after a traffic accident (flat tire). I've done some research on the options and it turns out that technological innovations have evolved from traditional "fire" flares to orange reflective triangles and an LED FlareAlert distress beacon. I have found that this product is also being sold by police supply companies which has given me confidence. I also consulted with an emergency doctor and he thought this was the best option for consumers. The construction is very…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Damaged

Great replacement for a flashlight

Bought these as a multi-purpose item, mainly as an emergency light for my car and motorbike in the event of a breakdown. A minor/trivial use was as a costume piece attached to a helmet. They have a very strong magnet and I used batteries for the suit as it was only temporary fun. I then bought emergency lithium batteries as I kept two in the trunk of my car for use. The singleton will sit in my motorcycle bag for this, and the lithium batteries will last a few years on standby before dying. Two

Pros
  • Nice to use

  • Empty

Great LED flash for the price.

The device has a very strong magnet in the base for sticking to a car or other metal objects. The amber LED in the device seems bright enough at night for a passing motorist, but during the day it's better to stick with a standard incendiary flare. The Pro version claims to have a 1W LED instead of 1/2W, which will likely make a difference for daytime use. As for the narrow battery compartment, despite its narrowness, the batteries slide easily into the device. I feel like this was designed to…

Tell your neighbor about using it

I bought 3 flashlights and put them outside for my neighbor to see. Turning on the signal lights, which my neighbor can clearly see, indicates I'm ready to take my service dog outside to relieve himself or play a short game. When I return my service dog, then press the button on both turn signals, which of course turns off the FLASHING signal lights and stops flashing. You may be wondering what the purpose of beacons is. I took my service dog outside to call the toilet, my neighbor not knowing…

Mine has come in handy twice already!

Boy, that's just great! I bought two in November. One for my husband's car and one for me. I got stuck on icy mountain roads shortly after arriving and had to call a tow truck. I had my FlareAlert in the trunk of my car and had to scoot around to get it and one of my emergency batons. Well, it taught me that it should always be on hand so I don't have to get out of the car to use it. It's not always safe to go outside. On a busy highway, it's better not to exit at all. And in that case, with…
