My hubby did a great job hanging these barn doors. He did not use a base board to reinforce the screws going into the wall, instead he used washers! Brilliant and the doors slide perfectly! We just finished adding the handles and pocket door handles. I love the finished product. We got all the hardware here on ebay!

My contractor built a rustic looking barn door and the modern design nickel looks great on it. He cut a 5' trim piece outlined with moulding that extends to the right above my kitchen pantry door opening to attach the rail to. Initially the roller pieces scraped in places so he had to finesse it with a few washers behind the bolts to extend the rail out from the moulding so it doesn't rub. Important to get a perfect level on the rail so the door doesn't slide open on its own.

We just installed this and so far so good. The soft close mechanism was installed in the wrong direction on one side. The instructions were vague and we did not realize the one side was backwards until it was installed. That was frustrating as we’re the poor instructions.The instructions were pictures only.Other than that we’re happy with the set up once we got it corrected. We’re going to buy a new bottom guide as it’s kind of chintzy but for the price it’s a good set up.

This set is on a heavier side, and I guess that’s not bad. Provided holes on the rail are not likely to align with your stud locations. I bored out a couple of new holes. Installation is pretty time consuming.One suggestion for soft close screws - make them hex head - easier to work from the back than socket hex. In addition to the initial setup, this would help with future door removal along the rail by removing the end stop and the soft close on that side. My biggest gripe - this set makes…

Issues.1.) Soft close drilled at wrong location - the left side of the bar appears to be drilled and tapped for soft close in the wrong location. This is preventing you from from placing the door stop in the correct location. One work around might be that you can get away without it since the soft close mechanism will act as your door stop now. If you wanted to use the door stop with the soft close then you'll need to drill & tap a pair of new mounting holes. The original holes were blind…

I was uneasy about the quality of this and spending $100+ I didn't want to throw away my money. Well I went for it and gave it a try, it was so surprisingly heavy and not flimsy one bit. I am very pleased with the quality of it. The finish is bright, but it does leave fingerprints, but lets face it once you install it you aren't going to be touching the hardware. Great product, well made and the rollers are quiet. My one complaint is we have a long barn door assembly that required two main bars and they aren’t milled when you put them together for standard widths for studs. Otherwise, easy to install and great looking product.

The product looks and works great! We bought 2 of these with the soft close and they're great. The installation instructions were different from what we had seen online regarding the door and frame measurements, but even though we didn't' follow the instructions to the sliders still worked great!

Now that it's up it's great, glides smoothly and effortlessly. Instructions were a bit of a challenge (4 stars) but watched videos on amazon page and done. Now that we know how to install :) we would order again.

It was what we expected and we were glad to find it on ebay for a fraction what you'd pay at the regular DIY stores. I haven't given it a full 5 stars, because we've only had it installed a month, but the door glides across smoothly for sure and so far so good.

My carpenter just installed this in my kitchen replacing an old accordian door on a closet. He had no complaints and I have received many compliments. It was less expensive than the big box stores and it makes a great focal point.

All parts seem to be here (with instructions too), that's a plus. Will know more about product as the week unfolds & I get it to the job-site and check out it's actual installation & sturdiness! Seems very well made and it's finish & appearance is awesome. I have my fingers crossed :-)

Directions are hard to understand but the user review with the video is very helpful. I don’t think I would have figured out the soft close system without that video

I installed the barn doors and due to the wall uneven distribution of the structure I needed to relocate the mounting holes, but it didn't affect the structure of the tracks.It look very nice and it is extremely solid.Very good materials and I highly recommend it.

Good product with close to wall installation for space saving involving a tiny bathroom. I was able to gain better in room walk path and reduce cramped floor space.

Quite a bit harder to open and close than I thought it would be. I know there’s supposed to be some resistance but it is a little difficult. Looks good though.

Bought this product as I was remodeling my house. Looks great, but when i went to install, discovered the 4 plugs that were supposed to be included were missing. No part numbers are referenced nor are dimensions defining the missing items . very difficult to find substitutes.
