Stick it to the man!

I hate the new CARB gas cylinders. The stupid babysitter state has got us all spilling our garages with gas. Thanks to the bureaucrats who showed us how useless the federal government is. With this product you can defend yourself! I was able to turn my piece of crap regulating the CARB gas cylinder back into a working gas cylinder. I had to use the original plug. But now it pours without a single drop. I added the vent by drilling a slightly smaller hole than the vent to make sure it stays…

Fantastic upgrade in the Tools & Equipment section

None of the threaded rings supplied will fit my Briggs and Stratton 5 gallon gas bottle but it didn't matter as the original threaded ring fitted the nose perfectly. (see image) I also like that the spout cap is threaded and screwed in for a tight fit. Note that the instructions call for using a step drill to drill the hole for the vent. Luckily I already had one, but if you don't have one you can add another to your order that will cut a 3/8 inch diameter hole. There is no gas leakage and I…

Nice conversion for new gas bottle

Bought a 5 gallon gas bottle from Lowes, and what kind of pita with new spouts (need to pour into the correct hole so you can push the spring - Loaded spout -Open button while you're pouring (and nothing I've poured into was physically/logistically possible). So I installed this old school spout and a vent in the jar. Make sure the jar is empty before drilling the vent so you can remove any plastic from the drilling. I used a 1/2" wood drill bit (see photo) and was careful not to cut the hole…

Great conversion for crappy new EPA cans

I bought this hoping I could convert some new EPA cans that I really hate because they just don't work very well. The kit has more parts than expected, including a vent plug and a lid that fits any new plastic jar. Simply drill a small pilot hole on the flat surface on the back of the handle, then use a 31/64" bit to complete it. The included vent hole squeezes snugly into the hole, forming an airtight seal. The spout comes with two screw caps, a yellow one for diesel and a black one for…

NO, this is not a "replacement spout and cap for pre 2009 gas canisters "

I have several pre 2009 gas "canisters" (2 of which are Walmart 1999) and the supplied/included cap does not fit any of them. which means that in my case I had to use the old cover. The design requires that the tube's seat be squarely opposite the gas cylinder with the threaded spout, but that's not the case because my original cap doesn't screw on tight enough, so it sometimes leaks. I've found that if I pull the flexible hose/spout so that it rests against the top of the cap rather than the…

Includes vent and flame arrestor

I bought this to replace the spout on my gas bottle because the bottom cap was cracked. After all, I've done way too much research on gas lines and I like these for a number of reasons. First, it's a very simple design that delivers gas very well and seals the tank very well. My gas canister came with one of those self-closing spring-loaded canisters that were very difficult to use and also never closed, even with a lid. This one just tilts and pours and the lid is pretty tight. Second, it has…

GET RID OF SATELLITE ON YOUR GAS TANK!

This replacement gas tip is excellent. I ordered 4 of these and went back to Revain to order 2 more. I have Blitz brand containers and mixed general purpose jars and they all fit. I am very impressed: in the package there are several lids of different sizes for different glasses. The small lid on the spout itself is screwed on - old spouts have slip lids. The small cap on the spout is attached with plastic. a cord/strap to keep you from getting lost. This cable protector rotates when you…

  • Comfortable to use

Great spout, but beware of a design flaw

A great way to circumvent those stupid new (and useless) gas spouts, but it has one major drawback - the rubber gasket that seals the can spout is very thin and will twist and tear if you twist the nose very hard. In fact, it doesn't take much torque at all to break the seal - I tightened it just enough to keep the gasses from the tank from getting into my car and that was all it took to destroy the seal . The problem is that the gasket is a single piece with a U-shaped cross-section that fits…
