None of the threaded rings supplied will fit my Briggs and Stratton 5 gallon gas bottle but it didn't matter as the original threaded ring fitted the nose perfectly. A great way to circumvent those stupid new (and useless) gas spouts, but it has one major drawback - the rubber gasket that seals the can spout is very thin and will twist and tear if you twist the nose very hard. In fact, it doesn't take much torque at all to break the seal - I tightened it just enough to keep the gasses from the tank from getting into my car and that was all it took to destroy the seal .
