Description of GEARWRENCH 9116D Ratcheting Combination Wrench 16mm, 12 Point: Efficient & Versatile Tool for Professionals

72 tooth ratcheting box end needs a minimal 5° to move fasteners vs. 30° for standard wrenches. Off-corner loading design on box end provides better grip and reduces fastener rounding. Thin head and beam provide greater access in confined work areas. Size conveniently stamped on both ends of the beam for quick identification. Manufactured from alloy steel for better strength and longer tool life. Surface Drive provides a stronger grip on fasteners, reducing fastener rounding. Sleek head design enables access to tight spots where a ratchet will not fit. Ratcheting box-end needs as little as 5 degrees to move fastener VS 30 degrees for standard box end wrenches.

Junk. Do not buy. These must be flaws. Photos of the 2nd key have been sent. It's more curved than the first. Look closely at my photos, the ratchet heat does not lie flat on the countertop. Unable. I also noticed that these wrenches are stamped after the name. My original tooth keys bought in 2002 do not have this stamp, these 20 year old keys are of good quality. Unlike those sold on Amazon.

Pros
  • Narrow head and beam for better access in tight workspaces
Cons
  • I'll add later

Good wrench for quick fastener removal/replacement in tight spaces

This is a very thin wrench and fits well in narrow spaces use spaces. However, due to the thinness of the lever, the hand does not slip, which causes pain when loosening a very tight fastener. On the plus side, the finish is nice and the ratchet mechanism isn't bad. I only intend to use this wrench to remove already loose fasteners, as being able to quickly ratchet in tight spaces is very desirable (and use another tool to loosen very tight fasteners). In early 2020 I will update this review if

Pros
  • 72 tooth socket requires at least 5° to move fasteners compared to 30° for standard wrenches
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This is a wrench. for power and hand tools

I bought this (and several other sizes in the same range) to make up for the missing sizes in the set. In the workshop, I describe myself as an "advanced hobbyist" which means I build or fix something every weekend and a few weekday evenings, and when I need a tool, I use the tool. 16mm is not a very common size and most kits don't include it - some brands don't even offer separate wrenches in that size. Works as expected and doesn't cost much. It appears to be quite well made, although I'll…

Pros
  • Smooth head design allows access into tight spaces where a ratchet will not fit
Cons
  • Available in white only
