Excellent but difficult

Excellent but difficult filament :) I'm very happy with the results, it's incredibly strong. Seriously, don't buy it if you don't have time to learn PC features. It deforms like no other. This requires a heated bed and if you don't have a heated chamber I've had luck with a raft and high skirt to keep warm.

Pros
  • Extrusion nozzle temp: 255 - 300 C
Cons
  • I will add later

Cardboard spool and filament dispenser

Complete garbage. Gizmodorks opted for a cardboard tube, which is flimsy at best. The main problem is winding the line from the spool. Polycarbonate is rigid, which adds to the problem, but that's not a good excuse. Unless you have a spring-loaded filament spool holder, I recommend staying away from Gizmodork's PC filament. So far I haven't had any problems unpacking PCs from other brands.

Pros
  • Polycarbonate 3D printer filament, vacuum packed and desiccant sealed, is a stiff, strong filament with high heat resistance
Cons
  • Crumpled

Stiff material in additive manufacturing products

products. Apparently, unlike other 3D printer polycarbonates, it is a real material and not a blend. For printing I used 280ยฐC at the hot end and 120ยฐC at the platform. The bed was covered with blue tape. Please be skeptical of bad reviews as they seem to come from people who have neither the knowledge nor the patience to work with this material which is very prone to warping. . As a workaround at this point, I just placed the box on the machine while it was printing and resisted the urge toโ€ฆ
