Works well so far - Generators and Portable Power Supplies

I've had it for about a month and it seems to be well made. I like well built old school stuff and that means they have a nice thick powder coating that lasts a long time, a real on/off switch that breaks the circuit really cleanly (all lights, all power, turn off properly). . now - no standby bullshit, no shutdown requirements), rigid output jacks, bright large LED panels, clear markings and markings, plenty of ventilation, powerful fans, and a thick metal chassis you could probably hit with a

Good Inverter - Tricky Feedback At Home

This inverter is designed to be a cost effective home backup system (expected usage 4-8 hours per year). I have two 100Ah deep cycle batteries connected in parallel and a 6 circuit manual switch panel for the main circuits (no 240V circuits). Usually the transfer panel is used with my generator. I made a wire to connect the transfer switch to the inverter, but the GFCI turned off before it loaded. I haven't had this problem before with my modified sine wave inverter (no GFCI). This is NOT an…

You get what you pay for and I'm glad I didn't skimp!

This unit replaced a Xantrex pure sine wave inverter that I fried on a widow (accidentally plugged into a trailer while the trailer was plugged in, I learned my lesson). I had high hopes because we live in a rural area with no municipal water supply, and I needed a (relatively) cheap pure sine wave inverter that, in combination with my solar panels and battery, could power a 1/2 HP well pump. This device failed to start the pump even though the locked rotor current was within the specified…
