Definitely excited to get this product I've had fun magnet fishing before, unfortunately on our last visit out to the lake my son accidentally dropped the magnet, so now I'm here for another one. Sry to say this I don't believe this is an 850 lb magnet. I put it on a forklift Fork and held on to the magnet itself it was not able to hold my 130lb body off the ground. So I wasn't too thrilled about that but I haven't taken it out on the water yet. kinda excited but skeptical on seeing what it can

Pros
  • Giving to his and. We went out a few times but he's not interested. I like them seemed nice for price.
Cons
  • Picture is deceiving magnet is about 2-1/2 inches in diameter.

Not as strong as i hoped for

I have strong magnets this one is meh. Also it shows 2 eye hooks it came with one . Not super impressed but not totally disappointed. Ill gift it out to someone for sure

Pros
  • So far this magnet has been great. I got it for my 9 year old daughter and it has worked well.
Cons
  • Can only retrieve objects made of magnetic materials

It's just ok: my feedback

This was used for some fun lake fishing. Found some small metal objects. This certainly does NOT have 600lbs of magnetic power. We found a pipe underwater that weighed about 10lbs, magnet kept coming off at the slightest tug of the rope. Dove down in person and lifted it out. Screws that go on top and side to hold rope, can also loosen while using, causing the magnet to fall.

Pros
  • Holds good
Cons
  • Can be difficult to control in fast-moving water

Great product to have

My son enjoyed using this magnet. Thanks for attention. He is huge on finding things in the water. He has really enjoyed using this product.

Pros
  • So far its cool
Cons
  • It was great but you have to check out the law on it. Or you will never be able to use it.

Save the environment and have fun doing it.

Love this! Got one so my boyfriend and I could go dragging in the local water areas and pull up scrap and other crap that shouldn’t be there! So fun!

Pros
  • Very good magnet, will hook on to items and stay there.
Cons
  • Can be dangerous if used near power lines or other electrical equipment

Not strong at all - my new review

Tried using this and its durable but the magnet is not strong at all. I tried it in my pool and couldn't even pull up a fishing rod with it. Also i tried it outside of water and wouldn't pull up a 10lb chair. Sorry but not worth it for me. Wasted my money.

Pros
  • Powerful magnet. If you have a heart pacemaker, don’t buy it.But if you don’t, buy it.
Cons
  • May not be effective for retrieving very small or lightweight objects

760lb double sided weak

So stick it to a vice and yes it's strong but anything else and it's weak. Can pull it off the fridge easily with 1 hand no fight. Put it in the water and it's not going to pull in much but a screw. It wasn't even hard to pull off a manhole cover. Long story short not good for fishing!

Pros
  • What I expected
Cons
  • May require special tools or equipment to remove it from stuck objects or surfaces

Weak magnet for my opinion

The magnet is not very strong. I tested it on a variety of metal objects and it doesn’t feel like a particularly strong connection. I don’t know much about magnet fishing but I think you’d want a more powerful magnet.

Pros
  • Not the strongest magnet available but for a beginner it is very solid!
Cons
  • Requires a strong anchor point to prevent accidental loss

Easier release best in my review

The first one I got had only one eye and attached to a metal pylon and I couldn’t retrieve it in the deep water. This one has two eyes which makes it release better. Very fun to use!

Pros
  • Works well
Cons
  • Catching alot of rocks with iron ore!LoL.

Decent all round USE YOUR IMAGINATION, Many uses for this.

After I replaced a 20-foot length of wall in my basement! I used to pick up nails and screws. Per photos, I used an old jewelry cleaning jar to place the magnet in, so as to keep it clean. collected about 2 pounds of nails. I then removed the magnet from the jar, and voila! Clean magnet, no direct contact. If using in water it will rust so dry and oil! Let's say it's a magnet with a line attached. It is strong relative to the metal it will latch on to. The rest is up to your intelligence.1. If…

Pros
  • Fun to use. Good product
Cons
  • Inexperienced users may struggle to retrieve objects from deep water

I tested it--It lifts only 15 lbs.

I tested the magnet with several different iron plate weights. It can lift 15 lbs, but not 20 lbs. And that's only if you lift it straight up--at an angle, it slides right off. It's the only large neodymium magnet I've ever had, so it seems pretty strong compared to old ceramic magnets, but to claim that this has 880lbs pulling force is an absolute and utter lie. Like I said, it can only lift 15 lbs straight up, but that's it. Haven't found anything but iron-bearing rocks. I honestly doubt that…

Pros
  • I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet but it is super nice!
Cons
  • Requires a significant amount of upper body strength to operate effectively
