I used a spiral coil to repair the threads on my caliper where the banjo bolt connects to attach the hose to the caliper. I had to dig four of these out of a hole before I could get one to work. When screwing in, they missed the thread in the hole and ended up in a gap. About halfway there is a well taut thread, then a thread is skipped, and then there is a well taut thread again. The new screw was only screwed in up to the gap.
