Excellent quality canister

Excellent gas canister. I bought 3. I don't understand why the price of the RED glass is higher? They are the same except the red can has a smaller nozzle. We like big baits so BLUE was perfect.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing

Professional Quality Container

I didn't want to skimp on keeping Kero in the shed. It stinks and is flammable. Mice can eat through plastic, but not through metal. Did I mention Kero stinks? I have yet to do a rollover test but this is a very strong and secure container. You really have to tilt it to get the flow, but I guess that's part of safe pouring. Not cheap but worth it for the build quality and safety. I think it's cheap insurance.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Long delivery

Bob Villa Recommends These

I am so fed up with plastic jugs everywhere so I bought this one hoping there would be a central place my husband would keep his gas. He seemed content with the glass. The carrier didn't spend much time and effort on packing as there were only a few bubble bags in the box. If the box were damaged, its contents could easily be damaged as well. I see Bob Villa recommending this gas cylinder, so I'm guessing it must be a pretty good gas storage option.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Only Available in Black

Forget those stupid plastic POS terminals

Haven't used the Justrite Kero Type 2 5 gallon canisters yet and am still waiting on my kerosene heater. However, I have used diesel and petrol of the same type and size. We switched off the electricity a few weeks ago and used the year old gas that was stored in my Type 2. It didn't even smell bad or like paint. I've never smelled fuel in my garage, even in the middle of the summer heat. Not sure if good storage will extend shelf life or not. The nozzle and valve mechanism are easy to use and…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Bad impression

Quality especially the hem

I bought my first one a year ago and it still looks brand new. Just got another one. Directions for Use: When installing the fuel nozzle into the fuel filler neck, be sure to place the nozzle INSIDE the filter basket of the combination spark arrestor; the basket sieve is narrower than the filling opening. I didn't fully insert the nozzle so I spilled a small amount of gas. One of the great features is the rim around the bottom of the tank. The tank sits on a rim, not a flat metal floor such as…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Nothing here

These canned goods are amazing! After years of fiddling with plastic jugs that swelled, shrank, encouraged algae growth and 5+ had all sorts of pesky spouts including small brittle plastic bits and springs, I've had ENOUGH. I gave them away to all the people I didn't like and replaced my entire line of fuel tanks with Justrite metal ones. I haven't had any leaks. They don't drip when you fill them or when you use them to fill something. I never had gas on hand again. It's one of those products…

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Quality especially the bottom edge

I bought my first one a year ago and it still looks like new. Just got another one.
