The sound from the speakers is clear and crisp. They really can turn up the volume and crank up these guys. The subwoofer has a deep "BOOM" sound as you would expect from it. Setup is easy. My only complaint is that the cables can get a little tangled and there are no brackets on the speakers. They must be installed on the surface.

Five stars because of the price. I paid a whopping $60 for it and it sounds good, not great, but pretty good. For the price I couldn't be happier. It's not really true 5.1 surround sound unless you plug it into a true surround sound card. Few things have this map except maybe a few scattered computers. Artificial surround sound isn't all that bad, though. It's better than listening to a tin TV speaker. Make sure your TV has audio outputs (headphones or RCA).

I posted a video of my review, which shows the horrible squeaking noise coming out of both rear speakers. Wait for the first lightning strike. In addition, this dialogue sounds very distorted in them. I noticed that when unpacking the rear speakers, there were very different cable ties lying around. We were pleasantly surprised by these small speakers. I use them as a 5.1 install for my computer. They sounded good right off the bat, but after adjusting the distance, level and EQ in the sound card software, they sounded fantastic. I used a Dolby Digital test disc and a sound level meter to adjust the settings.
