THIS PRODUCT IS AS DESCRIBED. AND HE DOES THE JOB.

THIS TOOL CAN BE MADE OF PLASTIC. BUT IT DOES THE JOB WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. IT WAS NO PROBLEM TO DISCONNECT IT ON THE FIRST TRY. FORD F350 2001 7.3 DIESEL. THIS PRODUCT IS AS DESCRIBED.

The metal ratchet turns in the plastic key. Unusable

This key arrived on time and looked great until it was time to use it for the first time. In the center is a 3/8" metal ratchet. This metal fitting is housed in a plastic wrench. The metal fitting will slip inside the plastic wrench and therefore cannot be used to apply any significant torque to the fuel filter. It renders the pretty plastic wrench useless.

Where was this item in 2000. It may have been in stock I don't know but what I do know is that this item explains how to remove the fuel filter cap on Ford/Navistar 7.3- liter diesel engines very, very easily. This item is well made and will last forever. If you change your own fuel filters, this is a must. I have no personal experience with Ford 6.0 engines as this tool is also supposed to work but I assume it works fine. Good product!

NOTE: This awesome tool has 2 sides for different sized fuel filter caps. If it doesn't fit on the cap, try flipping it :)

Very well done! Removing and replacing the fuel filter cap on my 2002 7.3 PSD was very easy with this tool. Some special tools are of poor quality or not quite suitable. This feels heavy, sturdy, well made and fits perfectly once I figure out which side is the right one (the label side up for mine). This way I can change the fuel filter on any 7.3 (or apparently 6.0) whether it has a factory cap or an aftermarket one. This key does what it is supposed to and does it very well. It deserves 5…
