Great addition to my Jeep

Easy to install, no drilling or fancy stuff required. You have to feed the headlights from the top as they don't go through the bottom of the light rail. No big deal, just playing around a bit.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good quality, good paint

Good quality, good paint. The factory YJ lights don't fit in the base of the Light Guard so the wiring harness needs to be unplugged, which I was only able to do from the driver's side. In addition, the supplied screws were too small (thin). But light guards are heavy and should hold up well.

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • Band

Looks good, but not quite perfect.

Fits my 1997 Jeep TJ. However, as mentioned in the test report, the substrates are not flat, but slightly curved. For my TJ, however, an apartment would be better. This leaves a small gap between the protective foam and the body. It's not bad, but I want it not to be there so water doesn't get there. The photo shows the gap.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Best Tail Light Cage for Older Jeep Wrangler

I love it about my Jeep! I have a 2002 Jeep Wrangler and they look great. they were easy to install. For the right taillight, you need to unplug the taillight under the jeep. Small hands work better! that was the only downside. There is a curve in the back to match the Jeep's frame. creating a small gap. but it's not bad and not noticeable

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Problems

There are better

I think you get what you pay for. These shields look very nice and durable so my first impressions were positive and I went to assemble them. The angle of the bend has been shifted to match the bend of the rear side panel, leaving a large gap between the case and the protective case. Moisture will seep through and aggravate the rust that all Jeeps seem to suffer from, at least here in the Midwest. So much for one side. I prep the other side and unfold the protection and there is no padding at…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are nuances
