Dangerous. Buy a branded power meter.

. Plug. I turned everything off and looked at the power meter. That's what happened. Serious fire hazard. The display was snapped off, the 7-segment display was showing nonsense like it was dying, which it really was. It was still powering my devices to be honest, but I'm afraid if I hadn't noticed sooner my house would have burned to the ground. Do yourself a favor and buy a name brand power meter. I also have a kill-a-watt meter for my home server and have had no issues 24/7 in a year.

Pros
  • INCREASED ACCURACY: Built-in high-precision current sensor. Offers the best accuracy. Class 1.0 with resolution of 0.01 W, 0.01 V and 0.001 A.
Cons
  • . Fits

Missing data! in circuit breakers, load centers and fuses

Interesting Why did they choose this to show the cumulative time and not the absolute time? In other words, for example like my fridge, which I'm checking consumption now, if it's not working, the consumption is 0.00 watts. Big. However, the cumulative timer counts minutes ONLY during power-up. So. While it's great to know how long the fridge has been on, this unit of measurement doesn't reflect the time that has elapsed in real time. So I have to log exactly when I start and stop the 24-hour…

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: Tests power quality in Watts (Real Power), Current (True RMS), Voltage (True RMS), Frequency (Hz) and Power Factor
Cons
  • I am silent

Display backlight is extremely useful. The display itself is very clear and I even left a scratched sheet of plastic on it to protect the screen. When the backlight is on, scratches on the film are not visible. The device is easy to use and works right out of the box. There is no estimated cost of electricity for this device, but for me it is not critical, I can calculate it myself. Most impressive is the accuracy of the meter reading, which can detect a resolution of 0.01W. I tested this by…

Pros
  • BACKLIGHT AND MEMORY: Wide viewing angle, large LCD display with clear backlight and circuit memory for accumulating kilowatt hours
Cons
  • clarity

Very good cheap electricity consumption meter

The entire basement dehumidifier has been used. The device is well constructed with North American standard plugs and sockets. You can plug it directly into the wall or use the short extension cord that comes with it. It is designed for 110-220V, but does not include adapters for higher voltages. The accuracy is rated class 1.0. Basically this means 1% with some derating for low currents and power factors other than 1 (it will probably be a little less than 1 for most motorized equipment)…

Pros
  • HIGH POWER METER: Counts consumption in kilowatt hours, with high power tolerance calculated for max. 16 A, compatible with 220 V AC
Cons
  • Protection

Great purchase, even better customer service

First let me be clear that meters in this price range are assigned 5 stars as many of them are for sale in different price ranges. If you're looking for the highest quality test tool with all the features available, you need to look at companies like Fluke (and expect $2,000-$5,000 too!). I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a gauge to use. at home, which measures the power consumption of a specific device when plugged into an outlet. I've been using it for a few weeks now and
