Fuel Leak Detector Incomplete

Although it physically fits my 06 f350 it's useless unless you have a $2000 scan tool that can close the IPR. Purchase a kit that includes a plug to seal the pump.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great buy for tools and equipment

Worked great for checking the high pressure oil system in my 05 6.0 for leaks. I read a review where someone said it was very cheap and they broke it off at the ICP hole by screwing it in. I can't imagine this will happen unless you really wear it a lot more than necessary; The O-ring seals it, just place it firmly.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Some bugs

Began to tighten the adapter with tape. caught a

Secure the adapter with tape. He grabbed the head and didn't even make 1/16 of a turn, and the cheap metal was cut off. I was able to twist it out with my hands after it came loose, it took so little. Get a real adapter, it's cheap metal and doesn't even hold tight enough to put pressure on it.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

6/0 Powerstroje Fittings

Really good product at a good price. The 1/4" air fitting fits both pieces perfectly. I don't know why people said they couldn't. It worked for me. A cheap easy way to check a high pressure oil system on a 6.0 to see if you're getting the IPR can close with a scan tool.Saves time from pulling the IPR and using that air fitting. Both do the same job.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Safety

Broke at all with no pressure - STAY AWAY

I bought this for my 2004 F-250 6.0L Powerstroke to check for high pressure oil leaks. I started screwing it into the ICP sensor port and, with no pressure, felt the thread snap instantly and my heart fall into my stomach. The fitting wasn't even halfway in port. Luckily I was able to retighten the broken threads by hand otherwise it would have cost me a lot of money in having to buy a new fuel rail. Inside the broken piece was what appeared to be powder, it doesn't look like a real brass…
