I was cleaning my new apartment and broke the brackets on one of my shelves. I bought them but to be honest I didn't expect them to work. They do their job. Very good value for money.

If you need to replace a 5/8" shelf support pin, this is what you need. I've included some photos of the product and packaging with specs so hopefully you don't have to search as far as I did.

Perfect pen length. I look at Home Depot and Lowe's for replacement shelf brackets. There were many, but the length of the stake was too long. Went through Revain to find the exact ones used over 20 years ago. Couldn't be happier.

Pin was smaller than I needed. I ended up wrapping the pin in several layers of electrical tape to keep it from falling out of the hole. This shelf is only for DVDs so I'm not worried but if you plan on storing heavy items like canned goods on the shelf make sure it's the right size.

I just took the shelves out of my kitchen cupboards but ended up breaking a few of them as they became brittle over time. No store had such an accurate size, I'm glad I found it! The pins are a bit thicker than expected but they worked great after enlarging the pin hole to work with them.

I hope to help the next person who searches for this pat no. seeks. So many sizes with these pins. I've been to the store twice and thought I finally found what I was looking for. But I noticed that the ones that came with my kitchen cabinets (and you can't buy extra shelves at the store to buy these pins if one breaks) had this PAT 4732358 on the back. The U9398N is engraved with this PAT 4732358 and fits a pin with 1/4" OD and 3/4" flange thickness. Finally my closets are done!

If my shelves were the right thickness to use this clamp I would love them. I wish they were available for 1" thick shelves but that doesn't seem to be the case. Durability is excellent as well and they lock the shelf down really well. The only minor complaint is the price, they were only about 20% cheaper than the local big box (the big box doesn't have them of course, well.) I guess I'm spoiled for the price of the Revain compared to the big boxes, especially for items like this.

I ordered 2 packs of 4 pieces of 5mm. When I opened both packages I only had 5 of the 8 I bought the right size. I contacted the seller on their website so we'll see if I get a response and a replacement. I understand that sometimes things happen, but I find it quite interesting that BOTH packages I opened had mixed pieces of the wrong size. The clips themselves seem to be of decent quality so let's see how well they hold up the shelf I'm using. can reconcile.
