3 stars because 2 butterflies were not butterflies. One was Santas and the other ballerinas. Bought them as butterflies on purpose, expecting them to look like a real butterfly, not a randomly patterned butterfly shape.

Wings bent when placed in box to open. When the box was opened, the butterfly's wings were bent and did not fly well. The paper used was too thin. I have no doubt they would work great if they were a little thicker. Disappointed that butterflies do not fly as pictured. I would not buy again.

Butterfly colors were printed on a thin sticker-like material, the rubber bands were old but too strong for flimsy cheap plastic you have to twist several times . Like a balsa airplane propeller. 3 attempts and the rubber band breaks, the butterfly flies to the ground. Garbage. Don't waste money. China did it.

they are funny! my recipients weren't "thrilled" with them, but they scared them, which I found funny (my friends thought they were cool too!). I originally bought them to put in a birthday gift bag for my mum, but I changed my mind after seeing my friends' reaction 😑 I only broke one rubber band - I saved the rest, I could put them back use. The trick to getting them to "fly" is to gently twist the rubber band over 30 times.

Used many times as a gift. They don't always fly high, but they always surprise. We would have them and play with them for more and hide them under pillows and books for the kids to find. The rubber will tear over time, but replacing it with a new one is easy. Even after the wings are worn and worn through daily use, it's still fun to play with. You only have to throw them away if the plastic hook breaks. Two months after the donation, half of them are still playing.
