I have already prepared 12 new doors with it and it works great. Really helps to drill precise holes in new doors to match existing/previous door frames. 4 stars instead of 5 because it is next to impossible to change the base that connects to the drill bit between two different hole saws. I ended up connecting the base to the smaller hole saw and buying a separate hole saw for the larger hole.

Liked it until I could remove the crown from the bat. It is used to screw a hole saw onto a drill. I was drilling a large hole and couldn't unscrew the drill bit because it got stuck on the drill bit due to the extreme temperature of drilling the hole. I couldn't replace the hole saw to drill a smaller hole. I had to buy a new hole saw to finish the job. A traditional hole saw attaches to the bit with a nut. This is bad design.

I used this kit to prepare two metal doors for a lockable latch and a solid wood door for a lockable entryway kit. Everything opened, the doors are fine. The kit remains in good condition and the saws are still usable. As perhaps with all such kits, the two hole saws are bolted onto the same mandrel and are difficult or impossible to disassemble. Present This product was exactly as intended and allowed me to install what would normally have required calling a handyman. The only reason I gave it one star was because it was really, really hard to unscrew the first one and put the second one on. I watched a few YouTube videos about it and knew it was going to be difficult. So I even sprayed it with WD-40 before attaching it. But unfortunately it is still very stuck there! Before buying, read the reviews on this tool. Apparently many had difficulty removing the cylindrical cutting wheel from the mandrel when switching between two different bit sizes. I gave it four stars because for the price it does the job. The plastic template is very light but saves time when measuring. Once you've made the pilot holes you can remove the template to avoid damaging it. I left it on and it kept switching to a different bolt length when the hole saw recognized a change in door material and bounced around a bit.
