Where to put the battery?

Adding a second battery was harder than expected but wiring was easy. One thing mentioned in the instructions, which most YouTube videos don't explain, is that your ignition voltage must remain on throughout the starter crank cycle. Many ignition sources are switched off for this first start.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Can't remember

Get this if you know it doesn't lie

If you are reading this it means you are trying to find what you need. Suppose you have an "AGM" battery and the voltage stays at 12.6. Suppose you have a lithium battery and the remaining voltage is 13.8. AGM WANTS POWER FROM LITHIUM AND THEN LITHIUM GIVES IT TO AGM. NOW YOU HAVE A LOW BATTERY, THIS WILL LAST YOUR BATTERY REALLY LONG.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some little things

Factory installed by the RV manufacturer, even uses the same bolt holes! Don't forget to use large 0+ copper cables! I have this on my system with 2 aftermarket alternators and it works fine. Also, don't forget to backup your connections! It costs money!

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Well known brand, good product

Purchased due to brand reputation, I have used and sold Stinger products when competing at IASCA and USAC Pro levels. Good value for money. I used to remotely turn on and off a 10,000lb Superwinch synthetic machine…. otherwise there would be food all the time. The power consumption of the winch can be over 500 A, but it does not switch off even when the winch is loaded. I used old 1996 Streetwires terminals and 4 gauge power wire to connect to and from the winch with no spacing issues. The 12v…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost never bought

Ideal for commercial vehicles.

Works great. We use it as a large relay to power four warning lights and 8 high power LED work lights. Battery power is fed to the Stinger and then to an industrial fuse box with a smaller relay. When the key is turned, this separate wire from the key switch to the stinger completes the circuit and prepares power for all the lights. Works well. This works well for those with issues with blown switches and relays who can't handle the long distance from batteries to switches. If anything changes,

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Works but fit is awkward with thick wire.

I installed this relay to power an old Warn winch on my vintage 4X4 truck. Firstly, well - this relay can definitely work as a power switch for a winch that can draw a lot of current. This winch traditionally used a toggle switch to physically connect and disconnect the circuit. I installed it and with the flick of a switch I can turn on the winch's electric battery. My main complaint about this relay is that the poles are too close together. The box says it fits 1/0 gauge wire, but I couldn't…

Pros
  • Sleek and modern design
Cons
  • Lightly dented
