Often freezes, often does not switch. More trouble than it's worth.

Most of the time it does what it's supposed to do, but during an 8 hour workday if I switch the computer about 20 times an hour it won't be able to switch at least a couple dozen once and freezes completely (it won't be able to detect a key press at all, requiring disconnection of _both_ computers to drain power from it and force a reboot) about 2-3 times . May be. This is a weird bug that only occurs if you don't use the HDMI port (I have two monitors for each machine, I need a KVM switch, so…

Reliable computers and accessories

Was looking for a switch box to share monitor, keyboard and mouse between Windows 10 desktop and Macbook Pro. This switch box solved my problem perfectly. The switch block still cannot switch between the two computers. The only issue I had was that switching between them is slow, but since it doesn't crash and the keyboard, mouse, and monitor always work, that's a complete downside I can live with. button, but the remote switch works. Another quirk is that the labels run right to left, PC 1 is…

Universal Keyboard and Mouse Passthrough

If you have a specialized keyboard or mouse with additional buttons or features, it will not work properly if you rely on those features. This KVM maps your devices as normal devices, so your system cannot find your keyboard and mouse. I'm using a Logitech gaming mouse with extra buttons that don't work through this switch. I only gave it 3 stars because the original specs didn't say that, only for a mechanical keyboard (which works if you're just typing).

Great switch (at least for USB)

I've had this switch for three months now and I'm very happy with it. I didn't use the video switching option, just USB. I chose this switch over a dedicated USB switch because it looked better than the more common odd-shaped plastic switches. The overall quality exceeds my expectations, the switch body is metal. The buttons on the case and remote control are satisfactory and not cheap. Please note that the remote control is not glued on the back, you need tape or glue to stick it somewhere.

Everything I was looking for in a home KVM

I needed this for my WFH setup and it suited my needs perfectly. There are 4 buttons on the front as I didn't want to switch between all 4 ports to get to the right one. But it also intercepts keystrokes, so double-clicking on CTL + port number (1-4) and <enter> also toggles. The only minor flaw was the audio, but that's not the fault of this device; this is how almost all HDMI KVMs work. My solution was to plug the USB audio dongle into the USB port on the front of the unit - it toggles…

Very well made, small size in aluminum case, supports 4K monitors

I needed a KVM switch that supports 4K (3840 x 2160) monitor resolution. This KVM switch claims to support 4K at 30Hz, but with my monitor and laptop I can use it at 4K and 60Hz. I also use a wireless keyboard and mouse with a single USB transceiver. The description says there is a hotkey combination to switch between computers, which I didn't find in the documentation. PROS Supports a 4K monitor Front panel switch and LEDs make it easy to use Remote switch Extruded aluminum construction Has a…

Product runs clean and error free

Used to connect a Lenovo PC (running Ubuntu, OS doesn't matter) and a Macbook Pro. The product just works. All I had to do was find the necessary HDMI cables and connect everything together. I didn't connect an additional power supply (5VDC), it can be powered via USB connections to computers (my computers were charging, I suppose I might need to connect power if running on laptop batteries). Highly recommended. This is a good, inexpensive solution that just works with no drama or fuss.

  • Almost OK
