Description of Tebery Umbrella Yarn Swift Hand-Operated Ball Winder Holder – Metal Hank Yarn Knitting Tool

Metal Hank: Better shaped, much lighter and durable than the Wood swift. Easy to set up: the clamp-on base allows it to be firmly fixed at the edge of tables, chairs, benches, or any other convenient locations, either horizontally or vertically!. Easy Rotation: The yarn swift winder has a smooth and easy rotation so that it provides a squeak free experience. It also allows the yarn to be wound into a ball in the quickest time possible. Easy to store: It folds down flat and you can let it attached to a table. Dimensions: dia 21-1/2 " x 16-1/2" when opened. A great tool for knitting and crochet.

Yes it works great!

It was the best small investment I could buy! Along with the Yarn Winder, this is an amazing pair of tools for the ultimate winding experience! It's what I need for my space and the ease of use makes it even better. Durable when you need it, but also easy to remove when you need extra space.

Pros
  • Metal Hank: Better shape, much lighter and stronger than Wood Swift.
Cons
  • Non-automatic

Good for the budget, not for heavy yarns.

Good product for light yarns. But folks with heavy yarn shouldn't buy this unless you're on a tight budget like me. It slides down so you have to make it very tight. However, I accidentally turned it the wrong way around and flipped it over. The small hole holding the swift has ripped and the product is now unusable. I'm not saying it's a bad product but to be honest it could use some work. Metal products should not be cheap so that they break from one turn. It is sad.

Pros
  • Easy turning: The quick winder turns smoothly and easily without squeaking. This also allows you to wind the yarn into a ball as quickly as possible.
Cons
  • Not sure

Not for people who have arthritis issues or similar unless.

Not for people with arthritis or similar, if you don't have space to leave it on the table all the time, you never have to switch from vertical to horizontal and have someone set it for the first time you ready. The table clamp part is fine, although some rubber padding to protect the table top would be nice. The problem is with the connecting clamp that holds the Swift to the table clamp. The swift's full round stem goes through a large irregular oval hole in the small head of the screw. Then…

Pros
  • Easy to store: folds flat and attaches to a table.
Cons
  • I don't remember
