Fantastic product, very good fit

The wiring on the driver's side has virtually NO slack! It's very difficult to position properly, but there's enough play for everything else. It is also very easy to connect power to the rear passenger fuse box with the backup sensor wires.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Easily repairable

I installed it myself with no problems.

I installed it myself with no problems. Your mileage may vary depending on your skill level. I recommend watching the installation video of this device and following it step by step. A good resource is erailer(dot)com and YouTube. If you are uncomfortable getting under the car, I recommend seeking qualified help.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Some little things

Fraud company - wiring harnesses

I'm in the process of installing it and after a week of troubleshooting the controller is defective and long past the return date, total waste of $80, so mad about it. Do not buy this brand of hardness. The product has a 1 year guarantee, they will not honor it, check their profile before ordering, half of their orders are negative.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • too stupid

A good product. Good guide.

Instructions are excellent. I had some issues with the length of the driver's side wiring harness and decided to use the rear fuse box as the power source rather than running the wire under the car and straight to the battery as other reviews have mentioned. The wiring harness on the driver's side should be longer. I didn't have to cut the splice wire, but figured I'd have to buy wire tensioners. To make connections on the driver's side with the factory connectors, I had to unplug the wire…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Useless features

Works as advertised. But would give 5 stars.

Works as advertised. Would give 5 stars but as most others have said the driver side wiring is too short. This complicates the positioning of the module. I also hooked up the power to the rear right fuse box and saved myself running a wire down the bottom of the car to the battery. It seems to work and you won't have to worry about the wire snagging or cutting in the future. Between installing this wiring harness and the do-it-yourself hitch, I saved nearly $200. Worth the time and bruised…

Good wiring kit

I used this kit to power the trailer accessories on a Ford Escape. The kit comes with everything you need, but you need to run a power cable from the front battery terminal to the rear of the car. My setup required me to remove part of the bumper and taillight trim to attach the wiring harness to the taillights. Probably the hardest part of this installation is getting the taillight adapters through the floor of the car where the taillights are. This required several dowels that acted like a…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • No paint needed

Nearly perfect! for Parts

Installed on a 2014 Ford Escape. The only downside I found was the flimsy 6" plastic zip ties, I used 8" zip ties and the driver's side cable could be an inch or two longer. This is etailer installation video. [.] The video doesn't show them removing the plastic rivets on the panels under the taillights to give you more room to run wires to the taillights, but at 2:42 in the video it looks like the rivet would have been removed. The installation video is also a bit vague on where to mount the…
