Almost plug and play. A small number of

. My neighbor is kind enough to share her wifi, but I can't get a good signal anywhere in my house. It was the perfect solution and was very easy to install. Almost plug and play. I downloaded the Tether app and connected the network to the extender, then I joined the new network and now I have a full signal through my seat on every device I have on the network πŸ‘ All you need is the password for the desired network OR access to the router and you're in

Waste of time and money

TP-Link has a name but not sure if they have a product or service to support the product. I bought this range extender on the recommendation of a tech support representative. We have a bad signal in a part of our house. After spending 3 hours with the person online and on the phone I am now returning this product. Depending on the person, they tell you different stories. Nothing will make it work without problems. Their only solution was to set up two different networks and manually connect to…

It actually works to extend your Wi-Fi range.

This is a small crossband repeater that looks like your kids. Heard in one place, repeated in another in a higher pitched, raspy voice. I've used this to extend the range of my favorite Apple airport to the farthest corners of the house to talk to the ring cam and get my kids' cellphones online. This slows things down a bit and increases ping time, but overall it gets the job done. Pretty impressive if you've ever built a crossband repeater, it's big and expensive, and this is a small cheap…

I bought and installed this extension and so far everything has been easy. When I tested the download and upload speeds (the extender was almost next to the router), the speed was half that of the main WiFi. I called support and we tried different things like sending it to the engineering team. A few days later I got a message from them about a troubleshooting session and that I had sent multiple time slots. The next day I heard that the half speed extender was expected as it is a half duplex…

Terrible, do not buy from this company.

I'm only giving one star here because I have to. It was a nightmare. When it works it gives a great signal and we love it. But it didn't even last two days before it stopped working. We had to turn it off or hit the lock button, which resets it for some reason. I really don't think it makes sense and I found it by accident. We had to do this at least every day, then twice a day, and it grew more and more. 😑 So angry. So I spoke directly to the company. In the end they decided I needed a…

Replaced Netgear Ext with this

Replaced our 5 year old Netgear WiFi extender we have for our pool with this one we bought with lights. Our Netgear extender was so outdated that there was no app to control it, but it has served us well over the years and we decided it was time to update it as the signal was intermittent and he could not handle the number of connected devices. the company is over. Reading the reviews before buying helped me a lot in my purchase decision. Almost everyone said it was very easy to install and…

Extends signal but difficult to set up

Most important: does it work? Yes. I took it on vacation and used it in a 220V European house with thick cement walls where WiFi had never arrived at home. We had a good signal. We had 4 or 5 devices running it and there was no degradation or sluggishness. Luckily I played with it at home before going on a trip. I consider myself moderately tech savvy and was still having trouble setting up this expander. This is the technological equivalent of Ikea furniture! Instructions become clearer AFTER…

Works great after a painful setup, no tech support

I got this bundled with a TP-Link AC1750 (Archer A7) router which they recommend, to pair with this device to create a seamless mesh network. This was the exact reason I chose this product over many others. I ordered this for my uncle and wanted it to be the easiest solution for him where he only has one network name no matter where he connects. The instructions that came with the extender state that when you connect it to its compatible mesh-enabled routers, it should receive information from…
