Unreliable - Networking Products

Works for a week, then hangs, completely unresponsive, turn on poe injector, then works for another week and then freezes again. When it works, it works well but not reliably. Tried stock firmware and latest firmware. Same problem. The workaround is to use the automatic/scheduled restart feature once a week.

Short Distance and Drop Connections

The range is much shorter compared to other consumer desktop routers and it was also dropping 5Ghz connections 2-3 times a minute on all my devices making it basically unusable. The graphical management interface is also below average with very little configuration. I had an extensive review with all the details of how I rated the device, but it was removed for reasons unknown to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the seller reported a policy violation as they also spammed my inbox with hundreds of

I had to reset it before it worked.

Okay, I'm not very smart about these things, but I had a "problem" with the setup. I used "Wizard" to set it up as an access point; When I was done I still had a signal at over 800 feet. The only problem is that even though I "forgot" the main router on my device, it never asked me for a password! It allowed me to connect and let everyone connect as an open router! I restarted the device as instructed, set it up again using the wizard and everything worked great. It's been two weeks and…

No better and no worse than WLAN on FiOS Router

LAN Bridge/Access Point (AP) configuration used. Connected to a router with CAT5e on a 1GB network. I used Power over Ethernet to provide full performance. Tested both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Our Verizon FiOS router (Quantum Gateway) is hidden behind the TV on the first floor. The WiFi signal from this one travels through the walls about 75 feet outside the home. Tried WaveLink AC1200 from inside a 2nd floor window. Same 75 foot lot line. Attempts to install outside the home at 20 feet off the ground.

works fairly well - computers and accessories

The range advertised was not exactly what I received. At the same time, there are a number of trees on my territory, which are likely to interfere with the signal. I use this to back up my security camera at the end of my driveway. 150 meters. I upgraded the antenna with a pair of 9dBi antennas for the 2.4GHz side. Otherwise it works as expected. I ended up using an ethernet cable to use as an access point rather than a repeater as the speeds weren't strong enough for use with a live feed from…
