fun game. Good quality. no storage box

Now we're filming moon junkies. This is a high quality real wood game. You will need a screwdriver to assemble it when it arrives. Only downside is that there is no storage box. It comes unassembled so there is no box after assembly. This makes it difficult to work with steel in general. Maybe someday we'll make a box. But so far too much has been played.

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Wrongly constructed

You have to assemble it yourself, but there really is no wrong way. However, once the metal rods are screwed together, they're not at the right angle to ever shoot the moon. You have to manually hold the bottom ends and then awkwardly manipulate the top ends. I would like to return this set and get one with the bars already at the correct angle. The way ours was twisted, it was physically impossible to shoot at the moon. Nobody likes it. (I grew up with one of these, so I know how it should…

Such a fun skill game for one or more children to play together

It's such a fun game! Our daughter loved it when she was eight or nine so we gave it to our granddaughter for her ninth birthday. And she enjoys it just as much as her mom! It requires skill, patience and coordination. And it can be played and enjoyed by one or more children together. Great fun on a rainy day and NO BATTERIES REQUIRED! The wood construction is very strong and if a steel ball is out of place, simply order a 1.25" steel ball bearing and you're back in business.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Older model

Great version of the classic!

If you have known this toy since childhood or always, this is a great well designed version of this classic game. The overall length of the board is just over 18 inches - I remember seeing comments on other similar toys saying they were too small. That's the size I remember from the past - I don't think it's small. Felt filling in "trowels", which is pleasant to the touch. My least favorite is the Space Force logo printed on the game - I'm a designer so I'm critical, but it looks like it was…

Too simple! Can easily get discouraged

I gave this to my son for Christmas. The theme itself looks new, explored and well presented. However, the game is too easy to learn. 3 kids and I play together. It took me and an 11 year old kid a minute to get the ball to all six holes with planets. With younger children (8 and 9 years old) it took several attempts, but all were successful within 5 minutes. Each planet has points, making the competition fun. My kids played for about 10 minutes and then left. But you said you would like to…

A fun challenge and a huge hit with guests!

My wife and I played this game at a board game cafe once and realized we wanted it at home. The game is solidly built and very easy to assemble! The only reason it gets 4 stars is because the wood was quite rough in two places (see picture). It doesn't matter, I just have to sand it down a bit, but it would be nice if it was smooth and ready to use. However, it is a very fun yet simple game! My wife and I get very competitive and often play High Total After 5 Attempts to have fun and give…
