Quality cutters that work smoothly but not as shown in photo

Good little diagonal cutters are great for cutting wire and stripping PCB terminals after soldering. They appear firm and smooth. Unlike the picture, they are not held together by a bolt but by a rivet as shown in the photo. The rivet is flush, and the round hole I assume is for expanding the rivet. They are definitely better than the cheapest similar cutters I've gotten from Sears but comparable to mid to high end cutters.

Super nice sharp board to use

Very nice sharp board to use, new wire cutters. I am generally a fan of Weller products for their reliability and these cutters do not disappoint. Please note they are 4" long making them ideal for smaller gauge wires or for PCB work - lead trimming and more. I solder a lot with 22 gauge wire so they are perfect. reach small areas and the slightly sticky/rubberized grip means they won't shift in your hands even when you're in a tight spot. There was a LITTLE bit of resistance at first, butโ€ฆ

  • Negative gift

The photo for this product seems to be constantly changing. At the time of writing this (Feb 2018), this is not true. In the photo of the screw with a slot for the pin, my sample has a solid pin. Most of the photos in the network MC54VN with a green handle. . In any case, these are pretty good cutters with a half-sunken head. I find the spring mechanism a little light and 4" is too small for my hands. Also for close-in work I prefer the larger 5" tools which offer better control. The extraโ€ฆ

Not like before.

I now work at home and at work. I bought these thinking they would be the same quality as the ones I have at work. I bought these at work 6 years ago, they are still in perfect condition. Leading edge is STILL 100%. This is Xcelite 54. The part number has since changed to this part number. Only about 1/3 of the cutting edge at the end is encountered. The new plastic grip cover feels crappy compared to the original. For what I bought them for they will work fine. They are still better than theโ€ฆ

Small pair of scissors that work well in tight spaces

I work a lot with cords and wires in my job, so I use a bit of different cutting tools for that purpose. I am familiar with the Xcelite tools as there is a good range of them at work; This was the first brand new cutting set I've used. In short, they are excellent and I am happy with them. These are small scissors suitable for cutting very thin wire, although they work well with CAT5 network cables as well. They're small and sharp enough to make fairly precise cuts in tight workspaces likeโ€ฆ

  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes

Cute little cookie cutters

This review is based on a Revain Vine product. I know the Weller brand soldering irons but didn't realize they make other tools. ideal for small wires (minimum tens of gauge). There is a good spring to hold the scissors open and a stop to prevent them from opening too far. The handles are comfortable to hold and the rubber is non-slip. Surprisingly, the packaging says they are not electrically insulated. They precisely cut solid and stranded wire as well as insulation. They are ESD protectedโ€ฆ

  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine

Not what is advertised. Excuse me. :-(

The color is blue, not green. The measurements are 50% or (half) of what is listed. The part number is correct. They are tiny, like the person who took the picture here for jewellery. I needed this ASAP for a special hi end audio repair on the advice of a guru in the field. It has a touch. I repair my devices at home. I also saw a photo on it suggests they were made in the US They were expensive and could probably be found elsewhere for a lower price and for those who have Chinese/US beef dueโ€ฆ
