I read the comments of other buyers who bought this product in dozens and some of the disks failed. I have one and it doesn't work. Very disappointing. In addition, I want to point out that the return of the goods, although under warranty, is extremely difficult if a defect is discovered after 15 days. The goods before sending to the consumer are most likely not checked in any way. Be careful to read reviews from other buyers before buying.

It's 1/4 the price of buying a high-capacity SSD, the OS on a small SSD, and files and media on the secondary Hard drive drive is the best thing you can do to speed up your computer even if it is an older model. I did this and increased the read/write speed by 400x! Win 10 took about 3 minutes to boot, now it's about 2 seconds.

Ordered 1 refurbished unit, had no sound and was not recognized by BIOS or Windows 10 on two servers. made loud rattling noises (probably the drive head) and was not recognized by the BIOS or Windows 10 even on two servers. Whoever recovers these western digital discs does a poor job of quality control.

Both disks came with information about them. It wasn't formatted clearly. Uses Partition Assistant to format and prepare for use.
