Dangerous sharp metal pins!

Dangerous sharp metal pins! I've had this for several years and my conure has chewed on boxes on occasion. I just discovered that needle pins hold it together! Very dangerous! i will throw it away Don't buy this for a bird - it may injure itself.

Pros
  • Cold
Cons
  • Can hurt

great food toy

bought this for her rats and they figured it out very quickly but it still enriches their lives and does the job well. To be honest since it's wood and I use it on rats I don't expect it to last more than 6 months but for the price it's a good deal.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
Cons
  • updates

Not for larger birds that chew!

Nice product and exactly what was ordered; actually a little more than I expected. But just a note for buyers. I gave this to my cockatoo created by Sulfer and there are SMALL NAILS like the nail gun used to combine the products. So for an avid chewer like a cockatoo, I would say NO

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Not for conures best in birds

I bought this device because I thought my two conures would be interested in it. None of them are strong enough to pull out drawers, and because they are clever animals, they quickly lost interest in this toy. I've had good luck with boxes with open holes big enough for my sparrow to stick his head in and "eat". Will be returning this item.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Sad device

FAVORITE toy of my CAG!

This is an AMAZING toy for my Congo African! She LOVES finding surprises in little boxes. Yes, parrots are destructive. So, I bought a lot of these. Sometimes they last a long time. sometimes she destroys them in a week. It just depends on her mood and what else I give her. If you have an inquisitive bird that loves to forage and work for treats. that could be the problem! I found that this toy was best received when I showed her how to put the treats in the box before leaving them with her in…

Pros
  • Beautiful

  • Too long to wait

The parrot is very busy

My parrot Jardine loved to collect and destroy this toy. The boxes are too deep for the parrot to touch the treats at the bottom with his face. So she can either drop or knock over the boxes to throw the treat away, or she can chew the boxes up and down. She ate the hell out of them. Even without food. She climbs over the main drawer and the drawers. It's great for their beak and brain. Splinters form, but she has never pricked or injured herself. The wood smells nice when it's being crushed…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Periodicity

Seems big for parakeets but still usable. Excellent price.

ATTENTION: Sawdust. You may need to dust each container before placing treats or toys in it. Maybe yours is cleaner, but there were a lot of small sawdust in my box. I blew into one of the boxes and a cloud of wood powder flew in my face. I had to use an air rag and wipe them all down to clean them and make sure no sawdust was stuck to my bird's treats. After removing that, I noticed it was a little larger than I thought it would be. I got it for my sun conure as shown in the picture but this…
