Good replacement in spare parts

This is exactly the same as the factory. The original lasted 18 years. The seal is made in China. The metal case is stamped Made in Canada. Gates did it; This is also engraved on the case. For now, that stopped the whining noise. From what I've read in other reviews, you can also buy the Gates tensor. This is half price and the same.

Good replacement for my 2000 Chevy S10 4.3

This is a suitable replacement for the stock tensioner that has worn out on my 00 S10 4.3. Most of the part is metal with the inscription "Made in Canada". The black wheel is made of plastic, as is the standard tensioner. I would have preferred a metal wheel but it does the job. It seems to work fine, doesn't creak or click like an old worn one. Let's see how long this lasts.

ACDelco 89017309 for 2000 Astro

Ideal for 2000 Astro to eliminate belt squeak. The only significant difference between the old one was that it had a 15mm bolt head while the old one had 13mm. Too bad you have to lift this car up to actually use the tensioner from underneath and then come up from the top to access the bolt mount. If you are making this vehicle, bring small hands and a short head or ratchet wrench to remove/install the tensioner. Big hands can remove the strap easily enough. My average hands struggled without…

AC DELCO OEM IS THE WAY

For decades I've bought my fair share of "OEM Quality" parts. WHEN PARTS ARE MANUFACTURED, STOCK QUALITY IS SO IMPORTANT THAT BUYING A TRUE OEM IS THE WAY TO USE. The unit was a few bucks more expensive than most supply markets, but the difference in price isn't worth estimating, it's the long-term DURABILITY of the unit itself, maintaining consistent belt tension and bearing noise. Change the pulley and the V-ribbed belt at the same time and you will be surprised at how QUIET the engine…

Spanner GM/Made in Canada

Spanner GM purchased July 2017. 97 Tahoe, 7/5. I was performing scheduled maintenance and recently heard a loud popping noise from the engine. I noticed that the tensioner moved a lot as the engine warmed up. The tensioners should hardly move, in this case the belt has sagged badly. I ordered another GM tensioner and it fixed the problem. The problem is that the GM tensioner should have lasted over a year. I ordered this new part in August 2018. The belt was replaced in November 2017. Tahoe has

Good product! good for belt tensioner

- Differentiates my truck from the one I bought from my local auto parts store. I will only use ACDelco parts for future purchases. I checked the part number on the ACDelco website and over the phone. My old one was almost a year old and noisy. Installing this tensioner and controlling the belt deflection (between the pulleys) was absolutely perfect and went silent. Made a difference in the generator dashboard. Show volts where they should be. - Installation is very easy, 10-15 minutes maximum.

Original spare part with belt tension indicator

I bought a used truck and the belt started to squeak when turning the steering wheel. The belt appeared to be in perfect condition. Aftermarket belt tensioner. So I got this part and installed it - still pretty much the same hoot - but! I could tell from the markings on this OEM part that my belt was worn out! The belt tension indicator was at the very end. I bought a new ACDelco belt, put it on, no screaming. It has so much more tension that it was difficult to put on. But now I can see on the
