2002 Ford Taurus OHV

Fits perfectly and works well a month later. I used very small needle nose pliers to remove the clamps from the tubing. Replace the hose assembly when replacing the heater core as they are known to rust and rust can clog the core and radiator causing overheating.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Unsafe

OEM quality at an affordable price.

Used to replace heater hoses on a 2003 Ford Taurus. Received it and it went straight into an old device that had been hacked by the previous owner. The fittings, fittings and hoses looked OE quality and should have lasted the lifetime of the car.

Half the price of most parts stores

After seeing the prices my local parts dealers wanted for the hose assembly I tried checking here at Revain. I'm very glad I did this. Most parts stores are almost double the price, and that's assuming they can get an assembly at all. Excellent build, everything went very well. Nothing had to be forced or coerced.

Pressure test before installation.

just make sure you pressure test this build before proceeding with the install like I did. There was a pinhole in one of the metal segments of the block. The paint job showed that it was found, welded and polished at the factory. But they didn't fill the whole hole and it cost me $25 antifreeze and all that time to pull it out and put another one in. So far so good with the new one, let's see how long it lasts.

Poor quality hose bursts after 3 days

Replaced factory heater hose due to very rusty line but no leaks then hose burst after 3 days of riding, spliced hose lives through weekend. Replace, but hose burst again elsewhere. the hose has come loose from the inside out. called the porter said he had never heard of it and said i need to contact the original seller to replace it etc who has time for that, fixed the piece of tubing with a 5/8 volume tubing from the local parts store, to replace the long piece of hose coming from the…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Requires outlet

So far, so good! on Hoses

Pretty much an OEM replacement for a 03' Ford Taurus OHV at a good price. Bought a replacement heater core and figured I might as well replace the hoses (recommended) as they looked in bad rusty condition inside and out, and put in a new water pump, thermostat and coolant tank, pretty much the entire cooling system except for the cooler . (next on my list). Great fit, easy to install, takes about an hour to swap out (took me about 4 hours total with heater core and coolant tank) but works…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Available in white only

A few years ago I had a coolant problem on my 2 year old Taurus van and took it to the local shop to have it fixed. Now it's time for scheduled maintenance with a full coolant flush. I decided to do it myself, so I searched YouTube for any clues or problems others had with my car. That's when I saw some videos showing the replacement of this heater hose assembly. I looked for it on my car and saw the whole thing was gone! I ordered this part and it fit perfectly and included all the clamps…

  • Obsolete

The hose will fit a 2003 Taurus SES without too much fuss. Removing the old clamps was a nightmare since Ford placed the power steering directly under the heater core clamps. You'll need angled pliers or a special clamping tool to remove them without swearing like a sailor. In addition, there is a hidden 10mm nut on the passenger-side bulkhead, which is also often put on blindly. Don't tell me why Ford uses painted steel for the coolant line and not something that won't rust. It's just an…
