Pack Brackets Bracket Industrial Supports Review

These brackets are not 7.25 but 7.5. I could understand that they are a bit wider to account for errors and a small gap, but 0.25" is a pretty big gap. Unfortunately the shelves have a gap from the wall. This is not a big problem, but it is better to let the buyer know about it.

These braces are VERY heavy and high quality. I was very surprised when I opened the package. Fits a standard home depot board that can be cut to any length. Total cost for this project was $26 including wood and wood stain. Installation was easy, I will be ordering more!

As the other reviewer said, it's not 7.25" and not designed for standard 1x8 (7.25") shelves. The mounts are 7.5" which I believe will fit a 2 x 8 (7.5" wide) but the product description is incorrect. Otherwise they seem strong and inexpensive but my shelves have a gap in the front or wall.

As another review says, these brackets are not 7.25 inches to fit a standard 1 x 8 inch board (which is the exact 7.25 inch width ). The bracket has an inside diameter of 7.5 inches and leaves a 1/4 inch gap. If that doesn't bother you, take it as it seems durable. I'm unhappy that it specifies a FALSE dimension and parentheses are returned.

After reading all the reviews I took the mount to the hardware store. The 2" x 8" boards were perfect for this, but using a bracket allowed me to take a very different approach. and i love the result! So save yourself the headache and take your braces with you. Who knows. You might even be happier than you expected!

Love these mounts! We had an empty space near the back door, so I wanted to add storage for equipment and additional storage. Instead of going upstairs with closets, we built open shelving. The cedar boards match our railing in the next room. The brackets are a great addition to a new home's design aesthetic and the price is incredibly good. After the builder installed the shelves (on the studs), he somehow hung them to test their strength. You're not going anywhere! I loaded them with jars…

I don't think I expected them to weigh that much. They would be fine but you have to walk along the window frame which just doesn't provide the support needed for so much weight. So I will continue to use it elsewhere in the house but not where I planned it. I bought a smaller shelf bracket because I knew I needed a smaller profile and a shelf in the corner. They just don't work there. But overall the mounts are good and solid and will no doubt work well elsewhere, you just have to find out…
