The internal current is limited to 14 amps. Built in switch trips at 14 amps

No judgment on this controller yet. It stopped working for no reason and required a hard reboot to get it working again. It controls the heating in my dog's house and I'm worried it might go out again on a chilly night. If it gets blocked again I'll send it back for a refund. ***continued*** Eventually the device just stopped working. Since it was out of warranty I opened it up to see what was going on. I found that the internal switch is only rated for 14 amps. This is why it keeps failing as…

To keep our chickens healthy and comfortable.

We just connected this to a fan in our coop. This gives us peace of mind that the fan will automatically turn on to cool our chickens when the weather is hot, but will also turn off when the temperature drops to keep them warm. Currently we have it set to turn on at 80 degrees and turn off at 75. This winter we will be adding another circuit to start the heater when it drops to single digits. Updated 1/3/18. Well, now we use it to power the radiant heater in our chicken coop. We have…

No overheating. The temperature reading seems accurate. You can only set one target temperature. You can set a temperature offset either way to tell the device when to start, but the goal is always the same temperature setting. For example, you can set the target temperature (SV) to 60 degrees and the cold differential to 20 degrees. This means that the device turns on the heating power at 40 degrees and keeps it on until the temperature reaches 60 degrees. You can set the heat difference to 25

So far it works as described

Here is my greenhouse. Live in a HIGH dry/cold desert. Temperature fluctuations from heat to cold are a real torture. In spring and autumn from 25 degrees to 85 degrees. Tried a simpler thermostat. He died a few months later. I looked online again. So far this has worked very well. I love the digital readings. At the set temperatures, it worked great. I have a temperature gauge hanging on the rafters at the level of my plants as they are important. The greenhouse has never dropped below 52…

Missing heater part

I use this with an oil heater to keep my child's room at a constant temperature throughout the night. The heater only has a numbered dial which I can't use to set the temperature. As a precaution against failure of this control and overheating or underheating of the room, my baby monitor has a temperature alarm. I connected a heater to the "Heater" connector on this controller with the switch on the heater on and the knob turned. all the way to the right. The heater is located a few meters from

It's not exactly 1650W

It overheats when using the 1500W heater and turns off the built in switch. After 4 or 5 resets it seems to be completely broken and turns off immediately. It worked flawlessly and served its purpose (running a 1500-watt heater in a 20-foot insulated shipping container) until it failed completely. Wire to the heater and make sure it only draws 13.5 amps. 110V x 13.5A = 1485W. This should be within the usable range for this unit, but it is not. This was enough to overheat it with a duty cycle of

I've taken some time to review this product, but I'll update if there are any issues. I bought it with reservations on November 27th, 2016, but given what is available at a reasonable price I decided to give it a try. So far I LOVE IT! Rated at 1650w I was apprehensive about using it with a 1500w heater. I know, I know. It's lower than its rating, but it felt a bit close to me and I almost expected trouble. You (I) never want to push the boundaries of an electrical subject. (The heater is rated
