The Nagura stone is tiny (as it should be), but that's not surprising when you read the measurements in the product description. It is approximately 71.4mm long, 22.7mm wide and 18.4mm high, your measurements may vary by a millimeter or two, but technically the stone is slightly larger than the listing. It is mustard colored and quite soft. I start sharpening my knives on a King Deluxe 1000 grit soaking stone, then move on to a Naniwa Traditional 6000 grit soaking stone. I use this slurry to…

YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT THIS IS FOR!

I see a lot of negative reviews on this product but that's because people have NO idea how to use this stone. This is not a traditional draw the knife over stone. Essentially, the BASIC TASK of the Nagura is to clear your sharpening stone of chips and dirt. This is part of the sharpening process, during sharpening you remove the metal from the knife and it has to go somewhere. In your stone, this is the most likely position. Nagura will remove this substance from your stone. Important however…

surprisingly good nagura stone. but.

This is a surprisingly good Nagura Stone unless you believe the misinformation out there. In this review, I'm going to debunk some common myths so you don't have to learn the hard way. This stone works amazingly well with both high grit and 400 grit. The color is great as it contrasts well with almost any waterstone (grindstone), barely wide, long, comfortable to grip and not too prone to rattling through the stone is If your stone is too dry or has a very coarse 400 grit, you will need to move
