Works to charge my generator battery.

After 5 years I had to replace the starter battery in my alternator. This allows me to easily connect and disconnect the 1.1 amp charger I charged them with. Since I had already disconnected the end devices, this was not difficult. No more fiddling with battery terminals and hoping they don't pop out.

Noco make a quality product

I bought this accessory to make my boat charger last longer. Everything worked according to plan. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars for weatherproofing is because the red wire has noticeably faded after just two weeks. This tells me that the cable insulation does not contain UV protection. This means that over time it will most likely disintegrate and fail. UV (sunlight) degrades plastic fairly quickly.

  • Easy Installation

Works great I LOVE a longer cord

This thing works great with our Genius 5 and saves us the hassle of opening the hood or pulling out the battery for continuous charging. Our only problem is that the cable is very short. I'd rather pay 20% more to get an extra foot that would allow me to tie it to a more convenient exit point. So (2002 Subaru) it's peeking over the headlight - maybe not the most comfortable spot.

Ideal NOCO Genius for cold climates.

Hook the NOCO Genius smart charger under the hood and connect this accessory to it and the battery. Add the NOCO GCP2 power adapter and you can charge and service your battery with a simple power strip without opening the hood. Especially nice if you park in your garage. If you are DIY, all you need is a drill press and a 2 inch hole saw.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other models

0/10 no longer uses the charger.

Bought for my 12 volt lead acid battery that I had in my truck. But a charged NOCO 10 destroyed my battery, so it's useless even in a charger. Based on the reviews I assumed the charger would be good quality and the safety features would prevent it from sealing my working battery so I ordered these eyes. But I won't need them anymore as I still had to spend 200 for a battery. The last thing I'm gonna do is plug this thing back in.

Pros
  • Best in its niche

Check the battery poles before purchasing.

I ordered M^ eyelets first, they were too small. Then I ordered M10 eyelets for my vintage battery. The battery posts were on the side of the battery. I figured I could just unscrew the terminal, put the tab on and tighten. Well I was wrong. The piece of plastic at the end was too thick and close to the hole. (See picture with arrow). This prevented me from turning the terminal back on. This is not due to the NOCO GC008 X-Connect, but to the 40-year-old battery cable design. I finally went out…

Great in theory good for terminals and ends

To be honest I had to tighten the nut a lot first so the torque was great. I put it on a new Beetle. Removing the nuts from the battery post was extremely difficult. (I actually had to figure it out with a socket wrench.) When I tried to put them back on, the nuts were harder to turn (but I made sure they weren't cross-threaded). My last plus coil (it was the 2nd one I installed) was bent sideways and has, so to speak, come loose from the plastic "dust protection" (or the plastic part of the…

Dangerous heat build-up

The wire gauge on this spade adapter (mine was #10) is very small compared to the wire that came with the noco 10 amp charger. The fuse is also 10 amp instead of the 20 amp fuse that comes with the alligator clip kit. I noticed that the charger was putting a very constant 9.9 amps into my battery, but with the 10 amp fuse this was causing tremendous heat to both the fuse and the charger. The fuse box was getting too hot to touch when I decided to stop charging and make changes. The only change…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Not for those who are not mechanically savvy, some terminals are not easy

Mazdaspeed 3 2013 and Mazda CX-7 2007. One was easy to install, the other was more painful than torture. but it was worth it. Connection 3/8”. I thought it was too big for a regular 10mm nut and matching bolts, but it was the right size considering the battery terminals have a square retention design to keep the square bolt head as well as the connector in place keep. The older Mazda CX-7 has a complicated battery terminal that goes two different ways (one to the starter? another to the…
