Leaking after 6 months

Top cover leaking. Garbage. I do not recommend. I may have gotten a bad one, but I know this stunt used to be way better. It seems that the radiator cap used to last the life of the car, but that certainly isn't the case now. Stant also makes original baseball caps, which is a shame. The quality of car parts has declined!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Long delivery time

First leaked, second working as intended

If I were to just check the second (spare) I would give it 5 stars but the first leaked a bit, but Revain has a very easy, hardly uncomfortable substitute (HT Pitch Meeting Guy). The second works great and doesn't drip. My old (original) cap is 13 years old so it's time for a replacement. I've noticed my coolant temp is slightly lower than it was with the old cap.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I don't really have any complaints about it everything is fine

Works on 2007 Jeep Compass with i4 2.4l!

I haven't had any problems but my jeep has a lot of hours and I wanted to do a major cooling system replacement. I replaced the thermostat and radiator cap. I also flushed the coolant with fresh 50/50 Mopar 100k/5year antifreeze. I didn't notice any difference but I'm glad I flushed it and replaced the old parts. The road is down because of a radiator cap or something idiotic. Good quality and looks better than OEM. Very happy!

Yes! This solved an issue with a 2002 PT Cruiser

I got an older 2002 PT Cruiser "gifted" from my brother in law. He has all these "project" cars in and around his house. However, since none of the grandchildren could drive a stick, the daughter told him to "give this car to the grandfather". From day one it overheated and all the liquid poured right out of the radiator cap. Times before I realized that the "stock" cap didn't seem to have rotated that extra quarter turn to lock it in place. this one does. 2 months later, no leaks!. (although…

Works well - poor quality cover

This cover works quite well but the finish is not very good. I installed this on a recently restored classic car that only had 190 miles on the odometer. The plating on one half of the lid already looks very matte, as if it wasn't properly primed for the plating. The other side looks normal - very strange. Obviously a quality control issue, so Stant is on top. When you spend countless hours detailing the engine bay, it's annoying when a $5 radiator cap ruins the look. If you just want a good…

Revain received orders twice, bought one on Ebay

Stant is Rolls Royce's radiator cap seal and has been using the brand for 50 years and every single one is a quality product. I ordered this stant from Revain but a few days later I received a MotoRad cap instead. As it was NOT what I ordered I sent it back and received it 3 days later. ANOTHER MOTORCYCLE CAP! I called Revain, got my refund and then found Stant on Ebay. A few days later I received the Stant as I wanted, NOT the MotoRad. The MotoRad may be as full featured as the Stant but I am…

Overheating issue fixed!

I had an issue this weekend with a non turbo 2003 pt cruiser where it first overheated and the sensor failed. I was thinking of some antifreeze. So I'll add a little more. But after an hour, the antifreeze will begin to gurgle and rise. I've researched extensively on the internet what it could be. Radiator fan, blockage between air conditioning condenser and radiator, thermostat, bubbles in the cooling system, broken hoses, bad or clogged radiator, cylinder head gasket, water pump, but also a…

  • Pretty package

  • Hard to tell

Can you hear the bubbling in the coolant reservoir? Check your cap.

This Stant cap comes very close to the original caps on our coolant reservoirs (for LH vehicles) until Mopar later updated them with black caps. I bought a Duralast cover from Autozone and was concerned. because it didn't seem to snap. Quickly ordered this Stant cap and everything seems to close tightly and relieve pressure. If you ever hear a bubbling sound from the coolant reservoir after the engine is running in these LH vehicles, check the gasket on your cap. With the Stant, the seal seems…
