When I got it a month ago I had signal issues when I got it with my MSI laptop and also thought it was fake advertised as G-Sync compatible as it has AMD Free Sync Premium. The stand is very wobbly. From reading and looking at reviews I didn't think it would be a big problem, but it does shake a bit even when I'm typing on my mechanical keyboard. This is the first one I bought (5/2020). I bought the second one from another seller (9/2021). I use it for work, photo editing, some video work and watching streaming services. Very happy with the monitors. Recently (1/2022) I got a monitor tree to mount them at a more ergonomic height. What bothered me was that the VESA mounting holes didn't all have M4 threads. I hope I'm not bashing myself, but this is a great monitor. I've had the monitor for 2 years now and you really get a lot for the price. This monitor is now supported by PS5 and the refresh rate looks really good, just like HDR.

After a little over two years of ownership and active use, this monitor shows nothing but quality. The picture is excellent and the refresh rate is as advertised. Very good for the typical consumer looking for a higher refresh rate and screen resolution.

The VG240Y is an entry-level IPS display. A major downside is that there's only HDMI and DVI, and it doesn't support Displayport at all. While this isn't the biggest problem, it can be a problem with multi-display solutions as most modern graphics cards only have 1 HDMI input. It's not bad for the price, but the ips panel looks more like a TN panel due to washed out colors and low peak brightness. It's very smooth at those 165Hz and feels great in games. I don't think I would recommend it unless it was strictly for gaming and nothing else.

I gave this monitor three stars because of the extremely misleading posting. This is a monitor full of features and compromises. Let's start with the refresh rate. It's 144hz if you run it at 8-bit color which looks awful, if you go to 10-bit you have to run it at 120hz. Let's talk about a 1ms response time.
