I used this material to patch an EDPM rubber roof that had a few holes in it and some other poorly done repairs. If you're making more than a few small stains, do yourself a favor and buy a metal roller that'll do the trick. It sticks much better and goes much faster. This thing is amazing. I have a Pueblo style flat roof in my garage that has been leaking around the drain hole.
