Description of 📶 MakerFocus 2pcs nRF24L01P+PA+LNA RF Wireless Transmission Module 2.4GHz ML01DP5 22dBm 100mW 2300M Distance Measurement SPI Interface with Antenna Anti-Theft and Anti-Interference Features

★Instructions for use: Please get the link from the product information description below. ML01DP5 is based on original imported nRF24L01P for the worldwide 2.4 - 2.5 GHz ISM band; With a FREE 2.4G SMA Antenna which can measured 2300m, shielding function and low-radiation.Frequency:2.4GHz; Max Power:100mW. Equipped with 20dBm power amplifier chip which makes the transmitting power achieves 100mW (20dBm) while the receiving sensitivity enhanced by 10dB. Those features make the transmitting distance 10 times longer than nRF24L01P itself. The anti-interference shielding cover on the module makes the anti-interference performance better; This Product has passed CE and ISO9001 Certification. Reliable network products

I've tried many different boards to get a solid connection through walls, floors, etc. This is the best I've found. Use them as outdoor sensors and sneak into the garage through three walls.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Not very transparent or thick but good elsewhere

They work very well. Haven't tested the distance yet but they work well in my setup. At first I thought they wouldn't work at all, but that could be due to my setup, program or missing shunt capacitors. There were some issues, but a full system reset or reprogramming couldn't fix them. (Plus, they're pretty cheap, so it's tolerable.) These modules require expensive electrolytic bypass capacitors near them (I used 68uF) and around the circuit (0.22uF for the Neo-Pixel, 48uF on the busbars). They

Doesn't work in Computers & Accessories category

Bought 2 of these and never got them to work reliably. I've looked at the SPI lines with an oscilloscope and they look awful - no wonder they don't work! If they need a pull-up resistor or other additional circuitry, it's not mentioned anywhere. I will not buy from this manufacturer again. .

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Embarrassing

Units work well with computers and accessories

Some other reviews say these units don't work and that was my first impression too. The units appeared to be of high quality, so I found the issues strange and checked them out. After some digging and testing, I found out that the reason for this is that there are resistors on the SPI line (presumably to protect against misconnections) that cause the SPI signals to be smoothed at the expense of line capacitance. This was especially noticeable with the long connecting wires I used in…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Has flaws

Excellent Computer and accessories

Excellent, not fake, and the shield is really effective. Recommend them over cheaper thin black panels with fake chips. They also work with black adapter/split boards.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

THEY WORK! - Networking products

Wow after a few weeks of playing around with other similar radios and no sync I plugged them in and they started talking right away. Use a base unit with them and they'll just scream data over the airwaves. TYMakerFocus! I came back to buy four more TBH =)

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Security

Shielded NRF24 at 100mW will not work.

All four of my 100mW NRF24 shielded modules are not working. I have successfully used nrf24 in many of my Arduino projects. I replaced the existing nrf24 with this to extend the range but ended up having nothing but problems. After many hours of troubleshooting I get the device to send every now and then. If you are familiar with the nrf24 libraries, there are a few lines of code that you can use to determine if an nrf24 is connected and if it is a real nrf24. All of my other nrf24s pass both…

  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Reliability

Only the nRF24 board should be considered with a NO antenna.

With the nRF24L01+PA+LNA boards nothing worked for me due to the lack of shielding. This 2300m model certainly solves that problem and overall IMO is the only board worth considering for nRF24 projects. However, as another reviewer noted, there are resistors on the SPI lines (CE, CSN, MO, MI, SCK) under the shield that are causing problems. If you are using the Arduino nRF24 library, you may need to change nRF24.cpp on line 45 of DIV2 from DIV4 to slow down the SPI clock. Otherwise you have to…

Pros
  • Not only useful for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
