Incorrect image color and description.

I would give 5 stars if the color was as described. I asked for "stone grey" as pictured to match the exterior gray of my house, but it is complete "stone grey" (dark brown) and not grey. The front slot (which you pull to get mail) is the only gray (dark gray) slot that exists. So my mailbox has two colors instead of one, which I wouldn't have preferred. My husband, not knowing what I asked for, installed it right after we received it; so it's too late to go back.

A bit like a child's toy

Easy to install. I wish the groove above the post was a little deeper. I have wood open now. Maybe it would fit a little better if the mailbox took up all the mail. At the same time, it is strong and will not go anywhere. Very easy to install. I wouldn't pay anyone to install this for you if you already have a pole sunk into the ground. The downside is that this mailbox looks a bit like a child's toy. No wonder as the photos provided reflect the product very accurately.

what is gray stone

The mailbox was easy to install. Placed the 4X4 in the ground and then attached the mailbox to the post. It was a bit high off the ground so I cut the 4x4 and reattached the post. Good size for my mail and small packages. It "rocks" a little more than we'd like since it only attaches to the 4x4 from the front. I can put some foam between the 4x4 and the MB sides to secure the shimmy. I gave this 4 stars because Stone Gray seems more brown or mocha to me. I was really hoping that the gray color…

looks better than my old one and lasts longer

so i went for the brown (grey) mailbox as my neighbors have black, green and brown options. I've noticed that darker colors tend to fade on top and it's not as noticeable with a tan. For some reason mailbox hackers didn't attack this one. They always broke every soft metal box I had. A heavy metal box that they couldn't break, so they just knocked it off the pole. they couldn't take it. Ha! Why did I switch? They eventually smashed the top of the wooden post. Since this mailmaster only needed a

Be careful when using the trimmer near the bottom of the mailbox.

The mailbox was easy to install, especially as I already had my pressure-treated metal mailbox; I just had to cut the rack to the right height. However, after seeing damage to the plastic base (near the ground) of a mailbox of the same model in other homes in our area, I was concerned that I too would do the same damage with my string trimmer. So the biggest part of this project was installing a paving platform (sort of) around the base of the mailbox (see photo). The only other comment I have…

Not exactly as advertised

I'm a bit disappointed with this mailbox. It wasn't easy to install as I had to dig a 2ft hole to put the box in. Then the box didn't just slide over the post like I thought it would. It's more like the box fits on three sides of the pole and doesn't sit completely on top of the wooden pole. I assume this is because the wood is very square and the inside of the formed post is slightly rounded at the front corners. There is a plastic flap on the back of the rack that is bolted to the wood, but…

Small inner box.

I had a Step 2 mailbox for many years, but after about 20 years the magnets rusted and the door broke. Despite the age I really liked the box and was happy to find what I thought the box was. I ordered box #545200 thinking it had the same internal capacity. The outside size was the same but there couldn't be a 9x12 envelope inside unless it was a folder destroying photos or other items that SHOULD NOT be folded. It also wouldn't fit in the smaller boxes I often get. There was no visible…

YOU ARE WARNING! THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE GRAY BLOCK! DO NOT THINK!

Like a few other reviews (which I obviously didn't see until I ordered and received it) this unit is by no means completely gray as shown in the (corrected) stock photos! the device itself is light brown or brown. The doors are the only things that are gray and look good, it's just a shame they didn't make the whole block that color! My wife and I simply decided to keep it as there was no other option that suited our liking and I already had it in hand. It's a well-constructed unit, with…
