Didn't work best on sports and portable GPS units

I'm very glad this unit didn't work, the GPS kept searching and searching. The reason I'm glad it didn't work is this. because it is a very cheap gadget. It looks and feels cheap. I'm surprised that so many people rate this gadget positively. Maybe a range finder would be better than a GPS. Thank you for reading.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Great device until it couldn't find my course

I loved this GPS watch until it couldn't find my course after only 5 months; now just search and search. Very easy to use and holds a charge for over 2 full rounds. It's a shame it didn't last long. Update: I'm very happy to report that the folks at Rangefinder have been extremely helpful and ultimately resolved my issues to my complete satisfaction!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons

Great price, great performance!

I was using a Golf Buddy but the charger would not connect. I bought an optical range finder from TecTecTec 6 months ago, so when I was offered the GPS watch I jumped at it. He showed himself perfectly (precise distances - also close to the flag). The design is a little thick but I wish it looked very durable. Now the problem with the fogging of the watch strap. It's also easy to change courses and holes on any course. All in all a great product. I have worked with customer support in the past…

Great Great watch for the money

I bought this on sale (I already have 3 others) so I can bring it and leave it in Florida for the winter months. This is a somewhat basic watch with front, middle, and back areas and risks. Already preinstalled. I compared it to my Bushnell and Garmin watches and used my range finder to compare. This watch is as accurate as my $300 Garmin and it's a Busnell. I've compared it to other people's watches and found it to be absolutely accurate. Very easy to use and quickly syncs with satellites…

Great easy to use GPS

I received my ULT-G three days ago and have been using it for two laps now. This is my third golf rangefinder and the easiest to use. It provides distances easily, accurately and quickly. I have a TecTecTec VPRO500 golf laser range finder that works great. I checked the distances shown on the golf watch with a laser range finder and found that the distances on the watch are very accurate. I also use Neo Ghost. I like the watch better than my Neo Ghost because I don't have to dig in my pockets…

Great GPS Watch for the Money

For the past few months I've been looking at some of the more sophisticated (and expensive) rangefinders until I played with someone who uses a golf watch. I don't remember the model, but I was impressed with its accuracy and ease of use. I stumbled upon this model, saw generally positive reviews and decided to give it a try when it dropped in price during the Revain Lightning round. I used it on a local course and was impressed with its ease of setup, beautiful looks, ease of use and accuracy.

Pros
  • Golf Course GPS
Cons
  • Expensive

Accurate golf watch; awkward to load!; finally returned.

This is a well-made, accurate watch at an affordable price. I've used it twice on two different courses in Florida and compared it to another GPS unit and the readings were always within 1-2 yards in front of, on center and behind the green. It also reads the distance to obstacles, which is especially useful when trying to shoot over water. BUT one huge minus: it is EXTREMELY difficult to properly connect the charging cable to the contacts of the watch! Came back from the course yesterday and…
