Didn't think I needed it until I got

I didn't think I needed one when my husband ordered it but to be honest I'd say it's easier to use than a traditional one. I have nothing to wash after checking the temperature.

    Good for home use

Not sure how accurate this is for commercial use but seems good enough for household use. I've tested it with my fridge, which has a thermometer, as well as my oven and grill, and it's fairly accurate for both hot and cold.

Everything you could ever need from a heat gun

Seriously I think this heat gun is perfect. It fits perfectly in the hand and the design is really perfect. The controls are intuitive and the measurements seem pretty accurate. The only reason I can think of buying a gun with a different temperature is if you need a wider temperature range. Otherwise this heat gun seems like the best choice, it's convenient to use and not bulky like some of the other heat guns on Revain.

    Excellent and affordable

I've had great luck with UNI-T tools and this one is no exception. Accuracy is excellent (be careful when estimating surface emissivity, especially on bare (shiny) metal surfaces). Flexibility is also offered by adjustable emissivity settings. The display is clear and legible in a variety of lighting conditions (important in poorly lit areas where devices are frequently used). The ergonomics are good, the fit and finish are excellent. Great price for such a good tool that's worth a few bucks…

    Recommended for infrared thermometers

I've had a UNI-T multimeter and clamp-on meter for seven years and have never had a problem with either. They make quality tools at a great price. This infrared thermometer is no exception. Although the body of the device is made of plastic, it feels solid. The back of the handle is covered with a thin layer of rubber for a comfortable grip. There is a 1/4"-20 metal thread at the base of the handle, which allows you to mount the thermometer on a tripod. There is also a soft Velcro case with a…

Seems accurate at room temperature and high temps, but not at low temps

This thermometer's build quality feels solid, and the laser pointer that illuminates what it's pointing at is a nice touch. The thermometer is easy to use and automatically takes the temperature reading when you release the trigger. It also tells you the maximum temperature it observed when you pulled the trigger. Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius was easy if you followed the instructions in the manual. about 150 degrees Fahrenheit and it worked great for everyone, with measurements that

Easy to use, accurate and fast infrared thermometer.

The UNI-T UT301A+ Infrared Thermometer is a compact device that comes with a thermometer, the required 9V battery, a carrying case and a simple instruction manual. Activating the device is as simple as folding the red part of the handle forward and inserting the 9V battery, then closing the handle. Pulling the trigger gives you a reading, although like me, you'll probably want to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit first. Consistency is most important, even beyond high accuracy, which is…

Well made, inexpensive IR thermometer with adjustable emissivity

First things first. This thermometer has an adjustable emissivity range. Many similarly priced thermometers are fixed/non-adjustable. This is extremely useful as infrared thermometers don't set this instrument up and forget it. Different materials have different EVs (emission values), so it's important to do a little research and understand what you're referring to to get the right value. The included manual insert has a useful table of the materials and their EVs, but you can find more…
