Pros

As a "third generation" Blockchain, they have had the foresight provided by the first two generations of CryptoCurrency to help develop a higher efficiency platform with regards to scalability and applicability.

Cons

We have yet to see major implementation of some of the more advanced features Neo has to offer, so success depends on development of community and real world application
