I don't know if they changed their boxes at some point, but mine is 3-1/2" deep. Why is it important? add another 1/4" to the connector panel itself. This gives you 1-1/2" clearance for patch cords. RJ45 with a medium sized strain relief adds 1" when plugged in, leaving you 1/2" to basically bend the cable 90 degrees, which is doable is, but I don't like the resultant voltage on my solid 24 AWG Cat5e core unless you have a cap with a cutout to add an extra 3/4" or more - I don't see how this can be boxed with Screw cap can be installed. I think there are plastic options for the box where the lid actually allows more clearance, but my box has a metal screw on the lid that adds an extra 1/4" at best it will probably work a little better than the whole cable to bend but still not as good as a U shaped good 1ft patch cord in a rack Yes I know there are pics of it installed in the box and patch cord sticking out, but (a) I have no idea how deep the box is in these photos and (b) they all removed their lid which obviously gives you infinite wiggle room why couldn't they put the jacks aside I can't handle them oh wait I know - because it's a Legrand.
