Easy to install. Replaced handle and lock from the previous owner of the device. Installation took less than 30 minutes. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the previous handle and lock were EXACTLY the same make and model, but over time the lock on the handle stopped working properly. When locked it becomes awfully difficult to unlock, it takes 20 minutes to rock the key forward until it FINALLY clicks). It often just locked itself even if you didn't turn the lock from the inside or with a key. I'll see how the new one works, but I've heard from many of my neighbors that this is a big problem with many of the Schlage locks in our 105 unit apartment building (they all use the same lock/knob).
