Super easy and simple.

Easy to install. Replaced handle and lock from the previous owner of the device. Installation took less than 30 minutes. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the previous handle and lock were EXACTLY the same make and model, but over time the lock on the handle stopped working properly. When locked it becomes awfully difficult to unlock, it takes 20 minutes to rock the key forward until it FINALLY clicks). It often just locked itself even if you didn't turn the lock from the…

Lever set is scratched and looks like a used rear sight.

I just bought a full kit, nine in all, to fix old door handles in my house. All locks were F-series polished nickel. One of the levers, a SCHLAGE F51A ACC 619 Accent Keyed Lever, came in a box unlike the other levers and appears to have been previously used and returned. It has a noticeable scratch on one of the levers that I have indicated in the attached image. I was not impressed by this grip.

Something really strange is happening with this handle. During operation something rubs in the mechanism and half the time the latch gets stuck halfway. It even happens when I close the door, so it's not entirely clear if the thing is fully locked or not unless I give the door a little nudge and then hear it fully lock. Also, I found it impossible to change the grip because one of the side holes didn't line up with the internal latch and I couldn't push it down. Tried for 30 minutes with no…

Works as advertised, dissatisfied with Schlage due to minimal support for legacy products

So our house is 15 years old with original Schlage door handles. The outside gate to the garage has a handle on the outside and this lever on the inside. Something on the side of the lever broke (probably a spring?) and the lever wouldn't return to its original position when you pulled it down to open the door. Disassembled and seen that the model number is stamped on the inside of the lever. Couldn't find any parts (even on the Schlage website) by model number. So I finally bought this and…
