Best performance in the terrarium Heat Lamps and Mats

I have used this lamp to house a 150w solar lamp and a 105w ceramic reptile cage heat lamp. The one with the ceramic heating lamp stopped working after 2 months. You can still hear the switch crackle when you turn it on, but little or no current is being sent to the lamp. Another lampwork can be found at the moment. But I think that for more than $30 the lamp should last more than 2 months. Very frustrating.
